More Thoughts On ‘No Kings’ Day

By Bob Small

A number of the members of the Swarthmore Republican Committee visited, Oct. 18, the No Kings Day event at Route 320 and Baltimore Pike.

I came at the beginning, Rob and others at the middle and the end.

This event differed from my previous experiences with such rallies in many ways;

Absolutely nobody wanted to speak to me. When was the last time that a rally attendee did not want to harangue any passerby who was foolish enough to stop to talk to him, or her?

There was one person who stated a rally participant came up to ask him for his “Soros bucks”.

There was a good “MAGA” presence (see photos), and dialogue was attempted.

The longest sign I can recall seeing (see photo) came from the NK side. He said he knew that people would “stop at the red light long enough to read it”.

I didn’t see one person that I knew from the Swarthmore Democrats, or any of my other lives. I found this truly amazing, as this was just across the street from the Swarthmore border.

Later, it seems the (national) estimate of the crowd size was taken from the ‘No King’ promoters, rather than via independent verification. See: Fact Check: How do attendance estimates for No Kings protests …

Is it just me, or are the “Commucrats,” I mean the Democrats, just running an against campaign because they really don’t have anyone for the proletarians to rally to? Just asking.

A long sign for a demonstration.

There were probably more minorities with the MAGA group. Certainly didn’t see many supporting ‘No Kings’ in Havertown

How about a mini Elvis?
No sure what this is but we betcha the Haverford Free Library would let it read to children.

Ed Note: Photos were by Bob but the captions were not. Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon, who is a Swarthmore resident, apparently did not attend the demonstration on Baltimore Pike but was seen on Eagle Road in Haverford Township.

  1. Aren’t these the same nitwits that spat upon our troops returning from Viet Nam. Morons.
