Chesco GOP Tribunal Fizzles — A Chester County Republican tribunal scheduled for last night, Aug. 3, fizzled when none of the committeewomen accused of being bad girls in the May 16 primary election showed.
Veronica Pidge of 405 precinct in East Nottingham simply wrote them and said she wasn’t going.
Nancy Gifford of 356 precinct in East Marlborough South told them she would be out of town and was given a continuance.
Donna Ellingsen of 215 precinct in Elk Township asked for a continuance to gather witness statements but was refused.
So she declined to attend.
She suspected the matter had already been decided.
The issue appears to concern a sample ballot the women distributed that didn’t included a couple of candidates endorsed by the county party.
Donna said any sample ballot would have been paid for by each individual and the candidates who may have been left off were people they did not feel comfortable endorsing.
In some cases, some names may have fallen through the cracks and some mistakes were caught in time, she said.
She notes that it isn’t definitively stated in the Chesco bylaws that committeepeople have to back a particular candidate in a primary election — what are primaries for after all? — as long as they back the winning candidate in the general.
That this is allowed is spelled out in the state GOP bylaws.
She further points out that the county GOP neglected to provide their own official sample ballots in time leaving the committeepeople to have to pay for their own.
The women are some of the most popular and successful committeepeople Chesco has, and their areas are among the tops in turnout for the GOP.
Candidates Describe Democrats Law Enforcement Disaster In Delco — Maybe the most troubling thing revealed at last night’s, Aug. 3, United4Delco Candidates Forum was the unmitigated disaster Jack Stollsteimer has caused in Delaware County regarding law enforcment.
The incumbent district attorney, a Democrat, fired most of the long-time stable of county prosecutors including the fellow who handled the Arthur Bomar appeals said Beth Stefanide-Miscichowski, who is seeking to replace him.
Decades of institutional wisdom were lost.
Ms. Miscichowski has had a long career in law including time in the Delaware County D.A.’s office where she handled juvenile prosecutions, which was another thing about which she hammered Stollsteimer.
She noted Delco’s juvenile detention facility is closed so the juveniles are being incarcerated — at least during the daytime — at the county’s Intermediate Unit educational facility in Aston.
Aston Police are called there just about every day.
In response to a question, she described how crime is rocketing in once safe and sound Haverford, now a strongly Democrat town.
Ms. Miscichowski said Stollsteimer is indifferent to the needs of the community and merely sees the office as a stepping stone.
County Council candidate Jeff Jones warned of a looming 35-percent property tax hike courtesy of the present all-D council.
He said the county budget is now 421 pages. When the Republicans ran things just four years ago, it was 40 pages.
He said Republicans have to heal and come together to stop this stuff.
He gave a shout out to Dawn Getty Sutphin, the Common Pleas Court judicial candidate who was unable to attend. He described her long and respected career in law and noted that her opponent has held a law license for just seven years and never set foot in a courtroom.
He talked about the sad decline of his hometown of Upper Darby.
He said the County’s Veterans Affair’s Office has been the subject of complaints from veterans groups since the county took over. He said it’s only now gotten more responsive due to it being an election year.
County Council candidate Joy Schwartz also noted the looming tax headaches coming due to the present council’s policies. She also described the importance of elections trusted by the voters. She noted that Delco has more ballot dropboxes than any other county including Philadelphia and Allegheny. The boxes are suspect by many; expensive to maintain and unnecessary. Why would a drop box be needed when there is a mailbox just a short distance away?
Mrs. Schwartz was a William Penn history teacher for 20 years and coached the mock trial team which she took to state competitions.
County Council candidate Bill Dennon, who is mayor of Upland, said he expects his ticket to win.
“I don’t start anything to lose,” he said.
Also speaking were school board candidates for Rose Tree Media and Unionville-Chadds Ford.

The movie Oppenheimer has renewed debate over the United States dropping two atomic bombs on Japan on Aug. 5 and 9, 1945. In discussion of this “weapon to end all wars”, a recent Yahoo News 360 article lists seven other articles that examine the U.S. decision from various viewpoints. All articles are recommended.
“Like many Americans, I was taught growing up that my grandfather was spared the burden of invading Japan and very likely dying because Harry Truman dropped a pair of atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki and ended the war. The main function of such stories is to justify a terrible war crime,” states David Klion of The New Republic.
The Washington Examinermakes a strong case that a Japanese surrender was not imminent.
“For starters, the Japanese were not remotely ready to surrender to the Allies, and the alternative to dropping the bombs was a full-scale land invasion of the islands. Conventional attacks, including regular bombing, would have resulted in widespread civilian casualties as well as the long-term destruction of Japanese infrastructure.”
It should be noted that the Japanese deaths and injuries due to radiation should be included in the final calculation of the bombs’ toll.

Brian Fitzpatrick To Be Primaried By Mark Houck — Civil Rights activist Mark Houck announced, today, Aug. 2, that he will challenge incumbent Pennsylvania Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick in the state’s 2024 Republican primary election, which will be April 23.
The announcement was made on Don’t Back Down hosted by Stan Casacio and Andy Teitelman on WWDB.
Fitzpatrick represents the 1st District which consists of Bucks County along with parts of Montgomery County and Philadelphia.
Houck made national news when he was arrested at his home the early morning of Sept. 23 by 25 heavily armed FBI agents who arrived in a convoy of 15 vehicles.
Houck was charged with a federal law prohibiting the blocking of access to abortion clinics for incident that occurred in October 2021. He was acquitted by a Philadelphia jury on Jan. 30 when it was revealed he was no where near the clinic’s entrance and the incident, which involved minor shoving, had been instigated by abortion-escort Bruce Love. Love walked 50 feet to where Houck was and berated his daughter.
Fitzpatrick, a former FBI agent, is known for his hatred of the anti-globalist MAGA movement. He was one of just nine House Republicans to vote to hold Steve Bannon in contempt of Congress.
Houck is a teacher who has a masters degree in education.
Gettysburg Hearing Can’t Be Used Against Trump (Corrected Version) — Philadelphia Common Pleas Court Judge Michael Erdos, July 31, ruled that a tweet and comments President Trump made regarding a legislative hearing on the election held in Gettysburg, Nov. 25, 2020 can’t be used against him from a defamation suit filed by former Delaware County, Pa. Voting Machine Warehouse supervisor James Savage.
Judge Erdos said Trump claim that elections in Delaware County were rigged was protected by presidential immunity.
Remaining as defendants are Rudy Giuliani, Jen Ellis and Delco poll watchers Leah Hoopes and Greg Stenstrom.
Why is this case being held in Philly? Savage was employed in and lived in Delaware County when the alleged defamation occurred, after all, and Mrs. Hoopes and Stenstrom remain Delco residents.
Pennsylvania law allows plaintiffs to chose any county in the state to file their case.
Judge Erdos in a June 20 hearing in which he dismissed a bizarre request by Savage’s attorney Conor Corcoran for a protective order against Mrs. Hoopes and Stenstrom, noted that none of the various cases regarding 2020 election fraud allegations ever went before a jury and that the eyes of the world will be on Philadelphia when this case goes to trial.
Considering the indictments against Trump filed, yesterday, Aug. 1, by Special Counsel Jack Smith alleging that the President conspired to defraud the government, impede Congress and violated persons right to vote for saying the 2020 election was rigged, it seems a whole lot of cases regarding 2020 are now going to be going to trail.
Wonder if Smith considered that before filing his indictments. He was under a lot of pressure after all being as how Hunter Biden’s former business partner Devon Archer had just testified to Congress that Joe Biden listened in on his son’s business meetings and met with the corrupt mayor of Moscow’s filthy rich widow after his which his little boy got a $40 million investment.
Bucks GOP Sued For Alleged Reorg Violations — Barry Casper and 50 other Bucks County, Pa. Republican committee members are suing the county GOP and Chairwoman Pat Poprik for a byzantine series of screw-ups stemming from its June 25, 2022 reorganization.
The election, in which Pat kept power by beating back Barry’s challenge , is alleged to have been held without valid bylaws — an amazing bit of idiocy that we described here — and would have broken the bylaws purportedly in use anyway.
The plaintiffs are being represented by attorney Andy Teitelman of Huntingdon Valley.
The suit claims that without valid bylaws the rules should have defaulted to state law regarding how non-profit organizations elect officers.
This would have prohibited the casting of proxy votes.

Proxy votes determined the outcome of the 2022 election.
Also, a secret ballot would have been required as per Robert’s Rules of Order which is the gap-filler for items not specifically covered.
The election was by roll call.
The suit also says that if the bylaws used were legitimate, a secret ballot would have been required anyway, and the way the proxy votes were cast would also have been prohibited.
Proxy votes, actually, would have been prohibited for those party officers who were also elected to Executive Committee.
Also, prohibited would be the casting of votes by post-primary appointed committee people. Ms. Poprik appointed 50 committee persons in the weeks between the primary and June 25
The suit asks that:
The June 2022 election be voided
New bylaws be written by those who were committee members as of May 17, 2022
All committee members and executives appointed by Ms. Poprik be removed from office
The state party oversee county party operations until a reorganization meeting to elect new officers and executive committee in accordance with the new bylaws
Current officers including Ms. Poprik not have any position of authority while the state GOP is in control.
Also named in the suit are Bucks GOP Vice Chairman Joseph A. Cullen, Secretary Joseph Pizzo; Treasurer David Breidinger, and Assistant Secretary/Treasurer Colleen Strunk.
Also being sued are the state Republican Party, State GOP Chairman Lawrence Tabas, and the Republican Federal Committee of Pennsylvania.
Tabas and the state GOP are accused of wrongfully ignoring an ethics complaint filed by Casper regarding the Bucks bylaws and election.
The Republican Federal Committee of Pennsylvania is a name sometimes used by the State GOP.
Border Surge Creates Tuberculosis Threat– 44 States Directly Impacted

The open Southwest border has enabled millions of illegal immigrants to cross into the United States and settle with little fear of removal. But aliens’ illegal entry is far from the only crime Biden’s open border has encouraged. Drug trafficking has soared, abetting a fentanyl crisis that is the No. 1 killer of Americans between the ages of 18 and 45, with more than 100,000 deaths in 2021. Human trafficking has enabled child abusers and unscrupulous employers to prey on innocent minors.
Another bourgeoning crisis is the health status among incoming aliens, especially unaccompanied minors (UACs), as well as the children of illegal immigrants. Stephen Dinan’s recent Washington Times story revealed that the federal government has released thousands of illegal immigrants with latent tuberculosis infections into American communities with no assurances that they’ll be given appropriate treatment.
Federal law requires that the Department of Homeland Security quickly place most UACs with HHS which, in turn, provides shelter while searching for sponsor families in the U.S. The government claims it can’t treat the infected children because they are in its custody for only a brief time, and treatment requires three to nine months. On the occasions that HHS releases infected children to sponsors, the agency alerts local health authorities, notifying them to arrange for treatment before the latent infection becomes active. But local health officials claim such notifications are infrequent.
Moreover, the government often loses track of the UACs, which makes potential tuberculosis treatment more difficult, if not impossible. “We do not know how often the sponsors follow through on treatment,” the Virginia Department of Health told TheWashington Times in a statement. “By the time outreach takes place, the child has sometimes moved to another area or state.”
Aurora Miranda-Maese, author of the court-ordered report, wrote, “Minors are not routinely treated for [latent tuberculosis infection] while in [resettlement] care because the average length of stay is typically shorter than the time required to complete treatment, and because there could be negative effects from discontinuing … treatment before completion, such as developing drug-resistant tuberculosis.”
Dr. William Schaffner, an infectious disease specialist at Nashville’s Vanderbilt University Medical Center, citedrespiratory infections, diarrheal infections and bacterial infections as some of the health concerns medical staff working on the border would have to constantly be vigilant for. “Whenever you get individuals congregated in an enclosed space, no matter what their age, there is an increased risk of outbreaks of certain kinds of infections,” said Schaffner. The doctor also warned of possible outbreaks of preventable conditions like mumps, scabies and measles because the migrants, many from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, are unvaccinated.
The Mayo Clinic describes tuberculosis as a “serious illness” that “spreads easily.” Endemic tuberculosis would be another cruel irony that President Biden’s open border agenda created. Taxpayers who are funding every step of migrants’ journeys from the border to their sponsors’ homes, and beyond, may now have the added financial burden of paying for their own medical care if they become infected with tuberculosis.
The Biden administration remains indifferent to the harmful effect its immigration agenda has on U.S. citizens. Admitting migrants with an infectious, transmittable disease like tuberculosis is the latest proof of White House callousness and disregard for Americans.
