I drink both. I usually have 2 cups of coffee in the morning, then drink strong black tea with local wildflower honey the rest of the day. And green tea for upset stomachs and for hangovers.
I’m a firm believer in the beneficial effects of black and of green teas, and of eating locally-harvested honey. I know some doctors don’t believe in it, but I think there is something to ingesting local pollen, that helps with allergies. I also believe we digest the sugars in honey differently, than we do refined sugars.
I also will take tea mixed with herbs, like mint for digestion, or concoctions of herbs without tea.
Here’s a trivia question: what did we call teas, a boiled infusion of herbs, before we had tea?
