So Where Are The Political Signs?

Fran Coppock points out that the primary election is Tuesday and that that there is nary a lawn sign to be seen.

Well, regarding the presidential race Gingrich and Paul don’t have much money or support — except for maybe me — and Romney is already selling tickets to his inauguration so he probably doesn’t feel the need to spend anything on lawn signs yet.
But that certainly does not explain the hotly contest GOP senate battle. My guess is that the local Republican parties — unlike the the state one — do not want an Obama voter/Sestak donor to represent them. In other words, they are ABW (anybody but Welch)  which is good news for Sam Rohrer, Tom Smith, Dave Christian and Marc Scaringi none of whom are Steve Welch.
My vote is going to Rohrer.
Incumbent Senator Bob Casey Jr., by the way, does have a primary opponent in Joe Vodvarka, a businessman from Allegheny County. Hopefully, he is running a brillant guerilla campaign that shocks the pants off the do-nothing scion

Springfield Road Curb CutsSpringfield Road Curb Cuts — The curb cuts installed on Springfield Road in Springfield, Pa. back in the early ’90s to assist those in wheelchairs in accordance with the American With Disabilities Act  are now (April 2012) being ripped up at much expense and disruption so “tactile detectable warning” tiles can be added for blind people using canes.

This isn’t going to make it easier for those in wheelchairs and one suspects that the vast majority of blind people — like the vast majority of Americans — would rather our budget deficits be address rather than create expensive feel-good, make-work projects.

Congressman Thompson Endorses Rohrer


Sam Rohrer has gotten the endorsement of Congressman Glenn Thompson (R-Pa5).

 Take that Rob Gleason.
