Elaine Herbert Presents Program At JPCD
By Kate Rainey
Joseph’s People Central Delco (JPCD) welcomes Elaine M. Herbert, who will present “Learn to Emphasize Your Accomplishments: If You Don’t Do It – Who Will?”
The program is 7-8:30 p.m., Jan. 16. at St. Laurence Church Parish Hall, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082. The entrance to Parish Hall is from the rear church driveway off of St. Laurence Road. All are welcome, without regard to religious affiliation.
Why do we struggle in acknowledging our successes? Get “unstuck” in identifying your accomplishments by asking yourself quick and easy questions. Learn the value of recognizing and promoting your accomplishments to others. Hear how to use your accomplishment stories to clarify your knowledge, skills, and abilities. Start 2018 effectively emphasizing your accomplishments and skills on your resume and at interviews!
Elaine M. Herbert is a long-time resident of Delaware County with 11 years of service in the DeVry University Career Services Department as Senior Career Advisor, Internship Coordinator and Employer Liaison. Mesopotamians instituted the concept of the New Year celebration around 2000 BC. They called it Akitu which is Sumerian for barley.
Granted their new year started about the time of the vernal equinox, in mid-March.
