Mitt Fighting Biden Probe Raises Eyebrows— Better the wolf be outside the tent so Mitt Romney losing in 2012 was a good thing after all.

Romney, whose latest job is senator from Utah, voted to convict President Trump, Feb. 5, of “abuse of power” which was one of the two counts against him in his impeachment trial. Romney would have removed Trump from the presidency and forever keep him from holding it again.

What was this abuse of power? President Trump asked Ukraine to investigate behavior by former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter who held a high-paying do-nothing job on the board of the notoriously corrupt Burisma Holdings, a Ukrainian energy company.

In his halo-polishing justification, Romney said

The President’s counsel noted that Vice President Biden appeared to have a conflict of interest when he undertook an effort to remove the Ukrainian Prosecutor General. If he knew of the exorbitant compensation his son was receiving from a company actually under investigation, the Vice President should have recused himself. While ignoring a conflict of interest is not a crime, it is surely very wrong.

With regards to Hunter Biden, taking excessive advantage of his father’s name is unsavory but also not a crime. Given that in neither the case of the father nor the son was any evidence presented by the President’s counsel that a crime had been committed, the President’s insistence that they be investigated by the Ukrainians is hard to explain other than as a political pursuit. 

Actually, there is evidence that Biden did not ignore the conflict of interest and that would most certainly be illegal.

Biden and his defenders might argue that his actions were legitimate but any reasonable person would admit an investigation not merely warranted, but imperative for someone seeking the presidency.

If President Trump asked the Ukraine to falsify evidence or if he lied to obtain surveillance warrants, he should most certainly be impeached.

But he is not the one who did those things.

Why is Mitt Romney opposing an investigation into the Bidens? Why is Romney unconcerned about the investigation into Trump?

Donny Deutsch Epstein Were Partners — The insightful and always entertaining Jamie Dlux found on one of his digs that leftist mouthpiece Donny Deutsch has been a partner with Jeffrey Epstein.

The New York Daily News reported on Feb. 6, 2004:

A group of high-profile New Yorkers that failed int its recent attempt to buy New York magazine is said to be pursing other projects including a possible bankrolling of edtior and publisher Maer Roshan’s Radar.
The group includews Daily News chairman and co-publisher Mortimer B. Zuckeran, Miramax Films co-chairman Harvey Weinstein, Triacarc Cos CEO Nelson Peltz, advertising exec Donny Deutsch and financier Jeffrey Epstein.

Amazing the connections Epstein had. He certainly would have had a lot to reveal if he hadn’t killed himself in that high-security federal prison while he was on suicide watch.

He did kill himself right?

Iranian Bribe Threat Don’t Forget –Here are some under-reported stories to keep in mind when considering the news of the day, namely the untragic death of Gen. Qasem Soleimani, yesterday, Jan. 2, by American missiles.

Soleimani was considered the second most powerful man in Iran.

Soleimani was the guy who planned the Iranian militia attack on the Baghdad Embassy on New Year’s Eve.

He also planned the Benghazi embassy massacre on Sept. 11, 2012 along with a lot of other bad things.

The Obama Administration was using Benghazi to send weapons to rebels in Syria including al-Qaeda and what become ISIS. The policy was championed by then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

When President Trump rescinded Barack Obama’s Iran nuclear deal — which had included giving the terrorist supporting regime $1.7 billion in CASH and freeing up to $150 billion in blocked assets — the Iranians threatened to reveal the names of Western officials who took bribes to make the deal happen.

About the time Iran was making this threat, John Kerry — Obama’s other secretary of state — was meeting with them arguably in violation of the Logan Act.

Kerry denied it at the time but later fessed up.

Badr Corps chief Hadi Ameri, who was also involved in this week’s Baghdad Embassy assault had been a guest of Obama at the White House. Ameri was among those arrested by U.S. forces yesterday.

Just some things to file in the back of your head as events unfold.

Giuliani Letter To Graham — Rudy Giuliani, Nov. 22, sent a letter — which we have included as four jpeg files — to Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) describing how U.S. chargé d’affaires to Ukraine, Bill Taylor has prevented at least three people from obtaining visas because they planned to provide direct testimony that high ranking Democrats affiliated with the Obama Administration used Ukraine as a base in which to attempt the rig the 2016 election, and, of course, a personal piggy bank.

Mayor Giuliani said that these people even hired a lawyer to try to resolve the matter and that the lawyer is willing to provide the Senate with his memoranda and emails.

Rudy is asking for Graham’s help in getting these people visas. It should be a no-brainer. Why not hear what they have to say?

Marti Oakley Features Montco Woman — Elaine Mickman of Lower Merion has appeared twice over the last few months on Marti Oakley’s Minnesota-based radio show.

Marti is a world-wide advocate for the elderly who have been taken advantage of by “guardians, and fights injustices by probate systems and courts in general.

She airs on the TS Radio Network and her shows are archived on the web.

Montgomery County, Pa is one of her favorite topics with a whole category labeled “Ottholes” in honor of Stanley Ott, who was Montco’s Administrative Judge of the Orphans’ Court Division until his retirement last year .

Elaine says Montco falsely credited her ex-husband for $550,000 he never paid relating to child support regarding their divorce, and never required proof of income from him at child support hearings. She says the county is trying to make her autistic son — now an adult at 18 years of age — pay it back.

It’s easy to dismiss the grievances of a woman — or man for that matter — regarding a divorce. We don’t though because we find it far easier to believe corruption and greed are rampant in Philadelphia suburban government. See here and here.

Gutless Mueller Ignores Real Scandal — In a disgraceful, gutless final act Robert Mueller at his farewell appearance before the press implied he didn’t recommend that President Trump be charged with obstruction of justice only because he was the president.

Really? You couldn’t find any evidence that he colluded with the Russians but implied he still could have committed the lame process crime of obstruction?

You are either so clueless that you can’t conceive of the division in the country that you are unwilling to heal or so craven you figure getting back in the good social graces of the D.C. establishment is more important.

You pointed out that the Russians meddled in the 2016 elections. That’s good to know, we guess. How about the Ukrainians? How about the Chinese? Did any of the $1.7 billion in cash Obama gave the Iranians flow back to Western politicians? It certainly was alleged on May 8, 2018. Did former Secretary of State John Kerry have a secret meeting with Iranian officials a few days later as had been reported?

Did the FBI meddle? The CIA? Those are far more concerning questions to the average American.

But you are a gutless swamp dweller who is part of the machine and took your final bow on the national stage to take a gratuitous shot at President Trump.

Goodbye and good riddance.

Transgender Surgery Big Moneymaker –The Wall Street Journal, May 3, had a great article by Abigail Shrier concerning Paul McHugh, the brilliant doctor who shut down Johns Hopkins Hospital’s Gender Identity Clinic while the hospital’s psychiatrist in chief in 1979.

“(The hospital) wasted scientific and technical resources and damaged our professional credibility by collaborating with madness rather than trying to study, cure, and ultimately prevent it,”  he said.

The clinic was reopened as the Center for Transgender Health in 2017, performing what it now calls “gender-affirming surgeries.”

“Demand is massive,” Ms. Shrier reports.

The complicated operations are “big moneymakers,” she was told.

We guess that’s the rest of the story.

“Either the plastic surgeons and the transgender psychiatrists are right and I’m wrong—and if that’s the case, they will have done a lot of good by opposing me, and I will have been a drag on the system,” said McHugh, who has just turned 88. “Or the opposite. Suppose they’re wrong and I’m right? They will have mutilated thousands of children, and I will look good. Who do you think is sleeping better at night?”

Justin Trudeau NXIVM Connection Alleged — Justin Trudeau, the hip, cool anti-Trump Canadian prime minister who bears a strange physical resemblance to Fidel Castro, is in real trouble.

Former Canadian Attorney General Jody Wilson-Raybould testified before her country’s House of Commons that Trudeau pressured her to reach a settlement with SNC-Lavalin, a large Canadian engineering company charged with serious crimes namely giving bribes to the Libyan government when it was under the control of Muammar Gaddafi.

Ms. Wilson-Raybould was forced from her post in January. The scandal exploded, Feb. 7, with a story in The Globe and Mail.

But some are speculating that there is far more to this than simple political hackery and corporate cronyism.

Tech guru and former Democrat activist Jeffrey Peterson is claiming that there are connections to NXIVM, the twisted sex cult largely financed by Sara Bronfman, heiress to the Seagram liquor fortune.

Peterson’s basis is Stephen Bronfman — Sara’s cousin — being Trudeau’s friend and a major fundraiser for him. Also Stephen’s finances are managed by a company in which Emma Griffin is an executive. She is the wife of Neil Bruce, who is president of SNC-Lavalin.

SNC-Lavalin, besides allegedly giving $160 million in kickbacks to Al-Saadi Gaddafi, the late Muammar’s son, treated the lad to a sex trip across Canada.

A flaw in Peterson’s case, however, is that Sara Bronfman is married to Basit Igtet.

Igtet, a Muslim businessman from Libya, helped orchestrate the overthrow of Gaddafi in 2011.

It seems the cousins had cross purposes regarding Libya.

On the other hand, it does raise the question as to whether Sara Bronfman ever sent Hillary Clinton a thank you note.

The proposed Montgomery County budget for 2019 includes an unacceptable increase in funding for the Courthouse Campus project in Norristown. This initiative was originally estimated to cost a sizable $281 million but has suddenly risen to a shocking $406 million. That is a jump of $125 million, or 44 percent, for a plan that is already the most expensive capital improvement project in County history.

To make matters worse, I have received letters from politicians including Senator Bob Casey, Governor Tom Wolf and State Representatives Matt Bradford and Mary Jo Daley, as well as notes from various labor and trade unions, pushing me to vote ‘Yes’ on the enactment of a Project Labor Agreement (“PLA”).

Doing so would mandate the use of union labor, thereby excluding 80 percent of otherwise qualified construction firms from participating in the bidding process.

Across the board, PLAs reduce competition and grow construction costs by an average of 20 percent. In this case, that means the Courthouse Campus project could balloon by an additional $80-100 million and reach a total expenditure of half a billion dollars!

Despite vast pressure from political insiders, I will not pander to lobbyists and special interest groups at the expense of Montgomery County taxpayers.

Therefore, I have asked my fellow County Commissioners for common-sense compromise to prevent the already bloated cost of the Courthouse Campus project from further spiraling out of control.

If my fellow Commissioners join me in rejecting a reckless PLA and agree to scale back the Courthouse Campus project to the initial cost of $281 million, I will vote in support of the proposed 2019 Budget to help give the residents, families and businesses of Montgomery County a bi-partisan victory.

What we found fascinating was the near silence yesterday. The President of the United States is implying two of the last three administrations were treasonous and the establishment media ignored it albeit that seems to be changing.

Vlogger Brenden Dilley points out that it is not just Trump’s fans in the U.S. that follow his tweets. Every world leader does. What were they thinking when they saw it? Brenden’s discussion starts at the 24:30 mark.

President Trump has been remarkably successful in keeping the political promises he has made. One of them was locking her up. It warms our hearts that he might do it.

And lock him up too. It’s only fair.
