The Democrats have named uber-billionaire plutocrat Eric Scmidt to its election post-mortem group, Bloomberg.com has revealed.

It’s just something for those of you not inclined to automatically push the D button to think about the next time you use a Google product.

Do you really want the enemy to track your every move?

During the midterm election cycle, Schmidt donated $60,000 to Democratic congressional candidates and chipped in $250,000 to Senate Majority PAC.

We guess the joke is on the OWS types who voted for Obama et al to stick it Wall Street and the “crony capitalists”.

We suggest that for searches one use DuckDuckGo. Their politics may not be the same as ours but truthfully we don’t know as they don’t make an issue of it. Regardless, they don’t track you.

Further, they are based in the neighborhood, Paoli, so that’s a bonus.

For web browsing, avoid Chrome. We use Firefox. If you can’t overlook their recent political cravenness, try Opera or stick to Safari if you have a Mac.

But don’t give aid and comfort to something that is obviously the opponent of freedom and a friend to feudalists

Sen. Charles Schumer of New York,  the third-ranking member of the Senate Democratic leadership, just declared the “Affordable” Care Act —  that he twisted so many arms to get passed  — to be a big mistake.

He said it in a speech, yesterday, Nov. 25, at the National Press Club reports TheHill.com.

Schumer says the Ds  “blew the opportunity the American people gave them” in the 2008 elections,  a Democrat landslide.

“Americans were crying out for an end to the recession, for better wages and more jobs; not for changes in their healthcare,” he said.

Hey Chuck, when Republican leadership wants to turn the ship in a stupid direction members of the body have a reputation for seeing the iceberg ahead and starting a mutiny. Ask Mitch McConnell. What you did in 2009 and 2010 was meekly go along with a disaster. That you imply that you thought so at the time makes you look a whole lot worse.

You should write a book. Call it Profiles in Cravenness.

You note that 85 percent of all Americans get their healthcare from either the government, through Medicare or Medicaid, or through an employer. How is that any different that company housing in a company town? How is that any different than a company store? You think employers/government should be responsible for the food choices of 85 percent of the population? We suspect you do. Your crony-captialists puppet masters certainly do.

You want effective health care reform? End all employer health-care mandates. Actually go further: End all incentives for employers to provide health care for employees. Let workers treat health care just as they do food, clothing, shelter and transportation.

For those that fall through the cracks create a clinic-based system and bring back public free-service facilities like the old Philadelphia General Hospital.

You would end up with an efficient, just health care system in which the practitioners are fairly compensated — hence being professions  that attract quality people — and puts the crony capitalist insurance companies at a disadvantage.

And the poor would get better treatment than they would under Obamacare or the previous standard of free emergency room service.

And Chuck, regarding “better wages and more jobs”, when are you going to end your War on Energy?

Obamacare Deceiver Got Rich Off Obamacare

Jonathan Gruber, the MIT professor who has boasted about how he deceived the “stupid” American people to get Obamacare passed, has been paid  $5.2 million by the federal government and 12 state governments for consulting services to assist in the design and implementation of the “Affordable” Care Act, reports Breitbart.com.

Gruber  certainly  did deceive a lot of people who put their trust in traditional media authorities. These weren’t the conservatives though, and most of those he did successful deceive are of the “fooled me once shame on you,” types which bodes ill not just for the future of the old media establishment but for the Democrat Party itself.

Sabotage Pipeline Plan Says Dem

A Democrat Pennsylvania state senator is telling opponents of energy to take legalities out of context to sabotage the  Sunoco Mariner East 2 Pipeline plan.

The proposed pipeline would transport natural gas liquids from the shale fields of western Pennsylvania to the Marcus Hook refinery complex on the Delaware River.

Andrew E. Dinniman, who represents the 19th District in Chester County, told members of the Chester County Sierra Club to use  Section 27 of the state constitution to encourage local municipalities to harass construction of the line.

Section 27 reads “the people have a right to clean air, pure water, and to the preservation of natural, scenic, historic and esthetic values of the environment.”

Well, yes. And it has been accepted that the state Public Utility Commission is the agency to ensure that the air and water et al are protected else if left  to every zoning hearing board between Marcus Hook and Houston, Pa., the project would be nickle and dimed into non-existence.

Refinery workers whose jobs and standard of living depend on the natural gas must be made to understand that it is their automatically deducted union dues that fund the campaigns of guys like Dinniman.

Truthy Was Fed Funded Speech Suppression

Tom Coniglia submitted this link to an article on FrontpageMag.com that describes a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to a data-mining project dubbed “Truthy” that cost taxpayers nearly $1 million.

The grant was ICES: Large Meme Diffusion Through Mass Social Media (Aware #1101743) and was intended, as per the grant’s abstract to “. . . create a web service open to the public for monitoring trends, bursts, and suspicious memes. This service could mitigate the diffusion of false and misleading ideas, detect hate speech and subversive propaganda, and assist in the preservation of open debate.”

That those with a vested political position seek the authority to declare what speech is “hate” and “subversive propaganda”  in the name of open debate is about as Orwellian as it gets.

The name “Truthy” comes from political satirist and Democrat Party supporter Stephen Colbert. The site itself targeted messages and commentary connected to the words “Tea Party” “GOP” and “conservative,” according to a letter from Congressman Lamar Smith (R-TX21) to the NSF.

And Smith wants answers.

And he — along with the rest of us — deserve them.

Smith notes that some have had social media accounts terminated because of “Truthy”.

If government agencies are seen taking sides by much, if not most, of America, then much, if not most, of America will see the government as the enemy.

This is a consequence that would be readily apparent to a kindergartner, and it is a bad thing.

To have a unified nation, government partisanship must become a big taboo. A good, but small, first step would be in exposing those who approved this grant and removing them from their jobs and banning them from any other government job, forever.

Hillary Fired Due To Dishonesty?

TRUE

Was Hillary Clinton fired from the House Judiciary Committee during the Watergate investigations due to dishonesty i.e. being a “liar” i.e “an unethical, dishonest lawyer” who “conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the Committee , and the rules of confidentiality” according to her then boss life-long Democrat Jerry Zeifman?

The below is being sent around the internet:

Hillary Fired Due To Dishonesty?

Is it true? Well Snopes.com — the protector of Democrats and self-proclaimed debunker of the World Wide Web  — says no.

It sounds to us, though, that they are grasping at straws.

Zeifman was really who he said he was— as even Snopes admits–  and he really did supervise Mrs. Clinton, and judging by the reader reviews, the book he wrote about Mrs. Clinton certainly indicates he had a rather low opinion of her integrity and regard for legal due process.

Here’s the Dan Calabrese column on the matter. Note, he points out that Mrs. Clinton was fired after the investigation ended.

We’ll have to judge this one as true.

Ebola Equality Political Correctness

Ebola Equality Political Correctness Thomas Frieden                            Ebola Equality Political Correctness Thomas Frieden

Ebola fear is spreading, a contingency the Obama administration should have been preparing for in August if not earlier.

The big reason for the unease is leadership. Obama said it was unlikely to get here and, well, here it  is.

He apparently thought he was dealing with the  j.v. team of contagious disease.

Thomas Frieden, who directs our Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is the man who Obama tapped to deal with matters like this.

As we should have expected, Frieden was not picked  for his skill in dealing with a crisis but for his fidelity to the poison of political correctness.

He was Commissioner of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene when called to federal service and was best known for distributing condoms to gays and banning trans-fat from New York restaurants.

His brother Jeffrey is  the Stanfield Professor of International Peace at Harvard and critic of free markets.

It’s no wonder why Frieden is fighting quarantines for travelers from West Africa. Equality means Ebola equality as well, after all.

And it’s no wonder  that now Frieden has been compelled to act he is proposing plans that are scaring the pants off of rubber-meets-the-road health workers.

And it’s no wonder that he is giving  blame-ridden explanations without checking the facts i.e. there was no protocol to breach concerning the contagions of those who treated the late Liberian visitor Thomas Duncan.

When your skill set is political pandering that is the thing you do.

The tragedy is that Ebola doesn’t have to be scary, or anywhere near as scary anyway.

The evil, greedy Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. stopped Ebola cold at its 80,000 person rubber plantation in the middle of the Liberian hot zone, it seems and just using common sense and materials at hand.

But then those evil greedy corporate types appear to have treated the issue as crisis and not as an excuse for political posturing and laughable orchestrated photo ops.

Dem Delaware County Hypocrisy

Some tidbits recently gleaned concerning this November’s battle for the Pennsylvania Legislature reveal that when it comes to hypocrisy the Keystone State’s Democrats take second place to no one.

The Democrats nominee to fill the 26th District Senate Seat being vacated by Republican Ted Erickson is John Kane, who is business manager of Plumber’s Local #690. Kane, gritty man of the people, has a taxable income of $277,000.

Sure is sweet to be a union official. He says he is not quitting if he should win the race and will keep the $80,000 salary that comes with the seat along with the other bennies.

That wouldn’t quite make him a one percenter but it would likely put him in the 2 percenter category, which is where he probably is now.

His opponent is Delaware County Councilman Tom McGarrigle, who grew up in Springfield, attended a public vocational high school and runs a well-liked garage.

Meanwhile, the D’s picked a full-blown one-percenter to challenge long-time incumbent Bill Adolph for the 165th District seat in the State House.

The candidate, Charles Hadley, is a retired venture capitalist from Radnor who apparently has a net worth of over $100 million.

If you want your freedom and don’t want to live in a land where you have to kiss the rings of the rich and connected vote Republican.

Cruz Spanks Franken

Forty-nine Democrats in the U.S. Senate led by former Saturday Night Live comedy writer Al Franken of Minnesota have proposed a Constitutional amendment that would declare that First Amendment speech protection does not apply to corporations.

These brilliant (that’s sarcasm) thinkers in seeking to restrict speech just for those of whom they disapprove failed to account for the reality that just about all our news and entertainment outlets are corporations.

Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz spanks Franken et al as he points out that those who write and produce Saturday Night Live — which is the property of NBC which is owned by Philadelphia-based Comcast CORPORATION — could conceivably face jail time for their satirical sketches if this Democrat amendment should pass.

He does it in a rather presidential fashion too.

Taney Dragons Name Traced To Infamous Judge

Taney Dragons Name Traced To Infamous Judge

Taney Dragons Name Traced To Infamous Judge

The Taney Dragons, the melting pot of a baseball team from Philadelphia with a black girl pitcher, won the hearts of all with their just-ended Little League World Series run in which they finished third in the nation.

So where does the name Taney come from? It’s from Taney Street, a four-block stretch of pavement that runs from Pine to Bainbridge just across the Schuylkill River from Penn.

And for whom is Taney Street named? That’s the irony.  It is for the man who wrote the Dred Scott decision, the most racist and viciously destructive Supreme Court decision in our history.

Dred Scott was more hateful and irrational than Roe v Wade. It was more racist than Plessy v Ferguson. It was crueler than Buck vs Bell.

It declared blacks to be less than human. It started the Civil War.

Roger Taney was a Democrat — no surprise, really –from Maryland who was picked by Andrew Jackson to be Chief Justice of the Supreme Court in 1835 after the great John Marshall died in a stage coach accident.

It is said he favored States’ Rights but that certainly wasn’t the case concerning slavery. In 1842, he ruled that Pennsylvania could not stop a Maryland man from seizing former slaves that had taken up residence in the Keystone State.

It was in 1857, he really let the mask drop.  In Dred Scott he wrote regarding blacks:

It is difficult at this day to realize the state of public opinion in regard to that unfortunate race which prevailed in the civilized and enlightened portions of the world at the time of the Declaration of Independence, and when the Constitution of the United States was framed and adopted; but the public history of every European nation displays it in a manner too plain to be mistaken. They had for more than a century before been regarded as beings of an inferior order, and altogether unfit to associate with the white race, either in social or political relations, and so far unfit that they had no rights which the white man was bound to respect

So much for “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal”

Those governing Philadelphia at the time apparently thought the decision was peachy.  They named the street for him the next year.

Three years after that our country’s bloodiest war began. Taney died before it ended on Oct. 12, 1864, still the chief justice and giving as much grief to the Lincoln administration as he could but with his fangs largely pulled.

So thank you Mo’ne Davis and the rest of the Dragons, for the deserved mocking you gave to one of America’s great bigots.
