Charles Dawes was the vice president under Calvin Coolidge, and created the Dawes Plan which successfully ended an international crisis caused by the World War I reparations forced on Germany, and for which he won a Nobel Peace Prize.
His most memorable achievement, however, may be the melody for Tommy Edwards 1958 number 1 It’s All in the Game.
Dawes wrote the music in 1911 as Melody in A Major which was itself a popular tune in the 19teens and early 20s.
Dawes can be consider an ur-Buckaroo Banzai.
