Yes, indeed Charlie , we miss you. We will not miss Ryne Sandberg or Larry Bowa who has, forev er, been my least favorite Phillie.

I’m not much of a baseball fan, but Charlies seems like such and talented man, I think it was wrong to fire him. I’d rather see games that test ones intellect rather than muscle. Do you remember the Scott’s IQ programs? Just suppose our schools, colleges and cities could field teams made up of bright people. I’ll bet there’d be people who’d pay to see them.
I often thought that there should be room for the intellectually gifted besides the atheletes who seem to attract the prfetty cheerleaders.
I think each high school should have an IQ team and members should get sweaters, letters and scholarships just like the jocks. These kids would go into medicine and engineering and make this world a better place in which to live.
