Chief Daly Announces Retirement — We got some sad news, yesterday from Springfield’s telephone notification that Police Chief Joe Daly is retiring, March 29, after 15 years in the job.
The Chief has 57 years in public service including with the Marines in Vietnam and other police departments.
Under Daly, the Springfield PD has shined and is without peer.
“My fondest memories will be of my service here in Springfield,” Daly said. “. . .thank you and may God bless you.”
God bless you too, Chief.
You will be missed.
