GOP Controls Senate After Luján Stroke — What might be the most under-reported political story is that the Republicans now control the U.S. Senate.
Sen. Ben Ray Luján, a Democrat from New Mexico, suffered a stroke, Jan. 27, and is incapacitated. This gives the Republicans a 50-49 majority and makes moot Vice President Kamala Harris’ tie-breaking power.
Lujan is expected to recover but it remains uncertain as to when he will return. A stroke is a stroke after all.
Lujan is 49. Yes, he was vaxxed to the maxxed.
Mitch and Mitt will do nothing with this majority, since their goals are same as Chuckie’s.
That is true.
Seems the GOP always lets an opportunity slip by. This time will be no different.
