A consensus is developing that that’s when Sandy is going to hit the coast of New Jersey and words like “nightmare scenario” and “historic” are being thrown around describing its expected effect.
Granted we are not Madame Marie but maybe some prepping for us on the East Coast is warranted.

They cancelled school for tomorrow (Friday), down here in Brevard County, FL, even though it’s not coming very close to us. I think they have rule that prevents them from running the buses over the causeways if the wind is over 40 mph.
And Florida kids still envy northern kids for their snow days!
There is something magical about a snow day that is not equaled by a hurricane day (although my little one sure loves to play in the rain).
Northern kids may get their very own hurricane day, next week.
