The Pennsylvania Game Commission has made available a GPS-enabled mobile application, or app, to provide outdoor enthusiasts easy access to information about all State Game Lands (SGL), said state Rep. Jim Cox (R-129( The app will cost $9.99 plus tax and can be downloaded for most mobile devices through links on the Game Commission’s website, www.pgc.state.pa.us.
Simple menus will allow users to search for lands by the SGL number, Wildlife Management Unit or by which SGL is the closest to a user’s present location.
Pennsylvania has 1.4 million acres of State Game Lands in 65 of the state’s 67 counties. The lands are managed by the Game Commission for wildlife and to serve as public hunting and trapping areas.
