Ribbon Cutting For Middletown War Memorial –There will be a ribbon cutting, 1 P.m., May 30 for a war memorial at Middletown’s Roosevelt Community Center, 464 S. Old Middletown Road, Media, Pa.
The center is the site of the former Roosevelt Elementary School and the township is seeking veterans who were pupils there to participate.

The memorial is the dream-come-true of noted Middletown businessman Oliver Armitage, who served in the Navy during World War II and was an advocate for veterans.
Oliver died in May 2019 at Lima Estates. He was 94 years old.
