No Anthony, “crap” does not come from Thomas Crapper, who popularized the flush toilet in the Victorian era. It likely comes from the Middle English word crappe which means “grain  trodden underfoot in a barn”, which can be traced to the Latin word  “crappa.” “John”, however, as in “going to the John” comes from Sir John Harrington, who invented the flush toilet in the 16th century.
