Tonight’s meal by Chef William Lawrence for this unseasonable cool June day was a simple beef stew chock-full of carrots and potatoes served alongside a homemade merlot. The feast was started with a fresh melon salad and ended with chocolate pudding made by Mrs. Chef William.

Felons With Guns Would Get Automatic 5 Years
The State House, May 23, passed House Bill 2331 by a vote of 190-7. The bill imposes a five-year minimum sentence without parole for felons caught illegally possessing firearms, says State Rep. Jim Cox (R-129)
The bill would impose additional penalties for a subsequent offense.
It is now before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Bill Would Hike Penalty On Impersonating A Cop
House Bill 2189, which makes impersonating a law enforcement officer a third degree felony, has cleared the House Judiciary Committee according to State Rep. Jim Cox (R-129)
If it should be come law this means transgressors could receive a fine of up to $15,000 and a maximum penalty of seven years in prison.
