Honor Flight To Staff Stand At The Linc

Honor Flight Philadelphia, which is the local hub of the national organization that provides free trips for veterans to Washington D.C. to honor their service, will be running concession stand 110 at Lincoln Financial Field for tomorrow’s Kenny Chesney concert.

The group gets 9 percent of the proceeds. Stop by and help them out if you attend.

Rush To Move To FM On June 25

Cathy Craddock has submitted this update regarding big changes in the Philly media scene:

Rush will move from 1210 to the new WWIQ FM 106.9 station on Monday June 25. Yeah! No static and no pre-emption for sports.  Glenn and Sean are already there.

Line up on IQ will be the same as old 1210 schedule. Glenn at 9am, Rush at noon and Sean Hannity at 3pm.

If you want some laughs with local conservative talk, check out 1210’s Chris Stigall – 5:30-9am. 

Dom is still on at 9 a.m.-noon

For you Smerky fans (lol), “Michael” is moving up to Rush’s noon-3 p.m. slot. Bet he’s nervous about that.

Thanks Cathy. I suspect Smerconish will see a 90-percent drop in listeners as I suspect that about 90 percent of his listeners were those who were too busy to change the channel when Rush ended.

Former state representative Sam Rohrer — who was my choice to be the Republican to take on incumbent senator Bob Casey Jr.  — has been named president of Pennsylvania Pastors Network
 The Pennsylvania Pastors’ Network describes itself as  a group of biblically faithful clergy and church liaisons whose objective is to build a permanent infrastructure of like-minded clergy who affirm the authority of Scripture, take seriously Jesus’ command to be the “salt and light” to the culture, encourage informed Christian thinking about contemporary social issues; examine public policy issues without politicizing their pulpits and engage their congregations in taking part in our political process on a non-partisan basis.
One of the things I remember most from Sam’s campaign was his praise for the rather libertarian William Penn and the influence he had on our country’s founders.
