Yes Anthony, print encyclopedias still exist. You can get the 2020 World Book print edition for $999. The 2019 edition goes for half that.
The Encyclopedia Britannica, however, — which started in 1768 and is the longest running English-language encyclopaedia — stopped its print edition in 2010.
Slavic Christmas Lunch Is Dec. 15 — Holy Myrrh-Bearers Slavic Christmas lunch is noon, Sunday, Dec. 15, following the 10 a.m. service at the church, 900 Fairview Road, Swarthmore, Pa. 19081.
On the menu are stuffed cabbage, pierogies, halushki (cabbage with noodles), kielbasi and sauerkraut, ham, beverages and lots of homemade desserts.
Tickets are $15 for adults, and $8 for children between eight and 12. Seven and under eat free and can be purchased by calling 610-544-1215 or emailing HMBCHURCH@Verizon.NET.
There will be no take out and no tickets sold at the door.
