So we were having our small but hardy band of the Swarthmore GOP Committee meeting on Oct 13, on the second floor of Swarthmore Borough Hall. We noticed we were without chairs, so we went to the first floor where we borrowed the chairs that had miraculously ended up on the first floor. We discovered “The Delco Dems Election Protection Training” going on. That led to my trying to discern why the Delco Dems need “election protection” in the first place.

According to the Delco Dems they are now doing some of these sessions virtually! Out of an abundance of caution, no doubt. They are doing these sessions to ensure every vote is counted.

In an article carried by SpotlightPa it is noted that “no police officer … shall be within one hundred feet of a polling place”

A proposal by State Rep. Malcolm Kenyetta (D-Philadelphia) would replace “police officer” with “law enforcement officer”. This will probably not be passed before the election.

Lastly, a Department of Homeland Security Official, one Heather Honey (love that name!), said “there will be no ICE presence at polling locations for this election.”

LWV (aka League of Women Voters not League of Women Vultures as someone had alleged)along with ACLU Pennsylvania and Common Cause Pennsylvania have also started to ride the “Election Protection” train.

If you visit, Philly Election Protection Training w/Popular Democracy, you’ll see that the term “non-partisan” is used. We suspect they mean both old and new Democrats. We challenge you to find any mention of an independent or, heaven forfend, a Republican organization. Forget any Green, Libertarian, or SWP representation.

In Swarthmore, for instance, the minority Republicans are more likely to be the victims of attempted “intimidation” rather than the majority Democrats.

But there’s a narrative that the Legacy media wants us to believe, so….
