At Least One Delco GOP Leader Is Working — A few hours ago we posted about how life is getting worse in Delaware County, Pa. and its Republican Party — which is on the outs — is fiddling around while it burns.
Well at least one GOP leader is trying to win namely Tessalieni Kelley who is the honcho in Chester.

Greenberg Death Again Ruled Suicide — Ellen Greenberg’s death was again declared a suicide, Oct. 13, by the Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s office.
Ms. Greenberg died, Jan. 26, 2011, in her Manayunk apartment.
She had 22 stab wounds including 10 to her back and head.
Also, there was bruises in various states of healing on her body.
She was engaged to NBC producer Samuel Goldberg, who found the body.
The death was initially ruled a homicide then changed to suicide by assistant Medical Examiner Dr. Marlon Osbourne
Ms. Greenberg’s parents, Josh and Sandee, rejected the finding as some of the wounds were to her back and head and some apparently occurred after death.
In 2019, they asked the city’s District Attorney’s office headed by Larry Krasner to review the case. Krasner sent it then state Attorney General Josh Shapiro as Krasner had represented the Greenbergs.
And so Shapiro sat on it despite a media controversy.
Few are going to be convinced that Ms. Greenberg’s death was a suicide despite the new ruling.
Many are going to wonder why Shapiro sat on it.

Republican register of wills candidate Meaghan Wagner promised she’d spend the entire election season (figuratively) kneeing incumbent Vince Rongione in the groin.
Rongione is the guy who was forced out as chief administrative officer of Upper Darby in 2023 after millions of dollars disappeared on his watch. The Dems appointed him register of wills job as a reward when the position became vacant with Rachel Ezzell Berry winning a seat on Common Pleas Court.
Can’t say we’ve heard a lot of moans of pain from Vince, Meaghan.
Citizens cannot depend on their party leaders to protect them. Get educated, get motivated and vote for your interest.
In this case it means voting R.
Maybe next time it will mean voting D although the Ds have a lot more work to do to regain trust.

Did Swarthmore Try and Hide Controversial Vote?

On the Friday before the Oct. 6 meeting of Swarthmore Borough Council, I checked the agenda on the borough’s website.
It wasn’t in the usual place so I dropped an email to one of the Borough Council members who is usually very helpful.
Swarthmore Borough is closed on Fridays,having attained the four-day work week.
Most of the rest of this narrative is based on various emails that flew back and forth from Friday on.
David Boonin, who is always on his post, forwarded his response. The Borough Manager, Sean Halbom, stated he “couldn’t make it work” after an hour. Then again, he was reported to be in Spain at the time.
The practical effect was that, until Administrative Assistant Elise O’Rourke arrived on Monday, the agenda was not in a place where the average person would know to look for it.
According to New Public Meeting Requirements Under the Sunshine Act,
“Effective August 29, 2021, government agencies covered under the Pennsylvania Sunshine Act, must make meeting agendas available to the public 24 hours in advance of public meetings.”

Council conducted an executive session to discuss intervening in the private real estate market by raising nearly $1M in debt to purchase 630 Yale.
