Where is the robust opposition to the Democrats currently occupying Delaware County Council?
Property taxes raised over 20 percent for the second time in as many years is unacceptable. Confiscatory tax hikes funding absolute nonsense adds insult to injury. The health department harassing restaurants, DEI cheating the qualified to fill quotas, the junk science of so called climate change plus the exponential increase in legal fees is robbing Delaware County taxpayers of our hard earned money while the GOP quite literally does nothing.
The Republican Party in Pennsylvania, particularly in Delaware County is corrupt, complicit and cowardly. Every single one of you in a position of power should be ashamed of what you are allowing to happen to your family, friends, neighbors and fellow citizens.
Biden as president, Shapyro as governor, a slob like Fetterman in the US Senate, Scanlon still in DC, progressives like Kane and Kruger still in Harrisburg and a duly elected GOP committee member in Aston Township publicly supporting Kamala Harris all happened on Mr Agovino’s watch. This is indicative of total failure and an absolute need for change.
The saying, “lead, follow or get out of the way” clearly applies. Mr Agovino’s failure to lead the Delco GOP to victory across several election cycles and refusal to follow MAGA begets the following conclusion – it’s time to get out of the way.
I am demanding the immediate resignation of Mr Agovino as head of the Delaware County Republican Party to be replaced by a true conservative, America First, Delco First leader who will lead us to victory in next year’s municipal election. This starts with finding exceptional candidates, for an open and robust Primary, to take back the two County Council seats on next year’s ballot.
No more inaction and excuses.

Womack Dissents As Delco Passes Crushing Tax Hike — Delaware County (Pa) Council, last night, Dec. 11, passed its budget with its crushing and expected 23.8 percent tax hike on property owners.
This means that the average homeowner will paying $184.69 more to fund things like a DEI department and a mismanaged prison.
The vote was 4-1. The courageous dissenter was Councilman Richard Womack.
Delco’s operating budget will increase $37.7 million going from $358,825,036 to $396,576,506.
Council has been baldly lying about the need for the explosive hike. It claimed it was due to inflation and that the previous Republican administration had not raised taxes for a dozen years.
Media GOP Chairman Michael Straw, at the budget’s first reading, Dec. 4, pointed out that the expensive Health Department, DEI Department, free yoga classes and a vending machine with condoms were all choices. None were mandates.
Council majority treats spending — and government in general — as though they were still spoiled, rich, private college students with daddy’s dough always there for them, and that while consequences didn’t matter, peer approval certainly did.

Ardmore Would Lose Desperately Needed Parking With Proposed Project

Residents in the neighborhood in Ardmore are expressing concern of the plans to put a building behind Ardmore House on Ardmore Ave across from the Post Office to be called Ardmore House 2 .
The new facility, which will be under different ownership, will be used for 48 senior housing units. The small-knit community is already experiencing congestion due to all the recent development around Cricket Avenue and Suburban Square. Their plan is to take away 98 desperately needed parking spots to for the building.
What is the Lower Merion Planning Commision thinking? Be prepared to walk if you have to mail a package.
