Pennsylvania Delegate Pledge 7th District — Pennsylvania will be sending 71 delegates to Republican Presidential Convention this July. Seventeen will be bound to the state’s top vote-getter. The remaining 54 — three per congressional district — have no restriction as for to whom they may vote. Theoretically, they can vote for anybody or anything.
Springfield GOP Chairman Mike Puppio notes that in the 7th Congressional District the three party-endorsed delegate candidates have pledged to vote for the district’s leading vote-getter on the first ballot.
These candidates are Puppio, Bob Willert and Joan Miller.
The election is April 26.
I created a website that aims to be a one-stop place for statements from the Republican delegate candidates. Currently, from all the sources I have found on the issue, I have been able to compile statements from more than 1/6 of the total regular delegate candidates. The website is http://pennsylvaniarepublicandelegates2016.blogspot.com .
