Reader Tom C notes that it appears President Obama skipped intelligence briefings the week before the embassy attacks in Libya and Egypt and the murder of U.S. Libyan Ambassador Chris Stevens and three American staff members.

Now, some might look at that and think it’s to be expected as social networking is for the hip and young, and old people fear technology.
They would be wrong. The skew is not that much as 66 percent of Americans are under the age of 44.

So what is President Incompetent going to do with Libya and Egypt now that the Libyans have killed our ambassador and the Egyptians have torn down a flag at our embassy?

Probably blame Israel. He is, after all, refusing to meet with Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu as it may conflict with an appearance on David Letterman.
Here is what Dr. Hagi Ben-Artzi, a lecturer on Jewish History and Jewish Philosophy at Bar Ilan University, has said about Obama:

So When Is ‘The Irishman’ Coming Out?

A movie starring Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci and directed by Martin Scorsese would be getting a bit of hype don’t you think?

The Irishman based on “I Heard You Paint Houses”, Charles Brandt’s biography of Philly hitman and union organizer Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran, has been in the works since 2010 and is allegedly slated to be released this year.
So where is the buzz?
One rumor is that it is on ice until after the election as Sheeran takes credit for Joe Biden’s Senate career.
Important parts of Brandt’s book take place in Delaware County. Sheeran attended Blessed Virgin Mary parochial school in Darby and Darby High School. He says he caddied at Paxon Hollow Country Club albeit it would not have been Paxon Hollow at the time. He makes his last confession at Saint Dorothy’s Church in Drexel Hill albeit he incorrectly identifies it as being in Springfield.
Besides Biden’s election, other ill deeds for which Sheeran accepts blame are the murder of Jimmy Hoffa, the murder of Joey Gallo and the delivery of guns for the John F. Kennedy assassination.

9/11 Was About Tightrope Walking?

I just heard a pretty troubling report about the 9/11 lessons being taught in the Springfield (Pa.) School District.

Are the teachers at Scenic Hills School really telling children that the World Trade Center was taken down to keep children from being tempted to tightrope walk between the towers?
I really have trouble believing anybody — much less an educated professional — could be that callous and stupid. 
But that is the story going around.
At least one very angry parent is going to have a discussion with the principal about it. Teachers you are warned.

Obama Reportedly Missing Intel Briefings

On this 11th Anniversary of the 9/11 terroristic attacks we feel compelled to note that President Barack Obama has reportedly missed half of his daily intelligence briefings from his inauguration through June 2012.

Angels In Pennsylvania, Demons In New York

The FBI agent who served as the agency’s liaison to family members at the United Airlines Flight 93 crash site in Shanksville has written a book describing how she saw angels at the crash site upon arriving three hours after the plane went down that September Tuesday 11 years ago.

Flight 93 crashed after an heroic struggle between passengers and terrorists that kept the plane from reaching its intended target in Washington, which was likely the Capitol.

The book by Lillie Leonardi is titled “In the Shadow of a Badge: A Spiritual Memoir”.  Ms. Leonardi retried after suffering post-traumatic stress disorder.

Part-time Legislature For Pa?

Part-time Legislature For Pa — A push is being made to turn our legislature into a part-time one. This is a good idea.

On the other hand, some are trying to shrink are legislature and leave the citizens with less representation. This is a bad idea.
New Hampshire which has about one-tenth the population and about one-fifth the square miles as Pennsylvania has the largest legislature in the United States with 424 members. The legislators get an annual salary of $100.
Pennsylvania’s legislature has 253 members, who get an annual base — note base — salary of $82,026 plus a per diem plus a pension plan plus a health plan.
How about we double the size of the Pennsylvania legislature and cut their annual salaries to $100 while ending the pension and health plans, and the per diem?
How often do you hear of a New Hampshire speaker of the house getting convicted of a felony?
