The urine sample

One time I got sick and landed in hospital.  There was this one nurse that just drove me crazy.  Every time she came in, she would talk to me like I was a little child.  She would say in a patronizing tone of voice, “And how are we doing this morning?”

Or “Are we ready for a bath?”

Or “Are we hungry?”

I had enough of this particular nurse.

One day at breakfast, I took the apple juice off the tray and put it in my bedside stand.

Later I was given a urine sample bottle to fill for testing.

So you know where the juice went!

The nurse came in a while later, picked up the urine sample bottle, looked at it and said, “My, my, it seems we are a little cloudy today.”

At this, I snatched the bottle out of her hand, popped off the top, and gulped it down, saying, “Well, I’ll run it through again. Maybe I can filter it better this time!”

The nurse fainted…

I just smiled.

Hillary Fired Due To Dishonesty?

TRUE

Was Hillary Clinton fired from the House Judiciary Committee during the Watergate investigations due to dishonesty i.e. being a “liar” i.e “an unethical, dishonest lawyer” who “conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the Committee , and the rules of confidentiality” according to her then boss life-long Democrat Jerry Zeifman?

The below is being sent around the internet:

Hillary Fired Due To Dishonesty?

Is it true? Well Snopes.com — the protector of Democrats and self-proclaimed debunker of the World Wide Web  — says no.

It sounds to us, though, that they are grasping at straws.

Zeifman was really who he said he was— as even Snopes admits–  and he really did supervise Mrs. Clinton, and judging by the reader reviews, the book he wrote about Mrs. Clinton certainly indicates he had a rather low opinion of her integrity and regard for legal due process.

Here’s the Dan Calabrese column on the matter. Note, he points out that Mrs. Clinton was fired after the investigation ended.

We’ll have to judge this one as true.

Pennsylvania Monitors Ebola For 100

The Pennsylvania Department of Health is monitoring about 100 people for signs of Ebola, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Most are those who recently spent time in Ebola-stricken West African nations albeit three are Pennsylvania residents who shared  an Oct. 13 flight from Cleveland to Dallas with a nurse who later tested positive for the virus.

None have tested positive for Ebola and that their risk of getting it is very low, according to Department of Health spokewoman Spokeswoman Aimee Tysarczyk.

She said the department is in touch with each person daily.

So kudos for Gov. Tom Corbett for staying on top of the matter.

Not that Bob is going to vote for Corbett.

Super Batteries Loom Say Chinese

A battery that can be recharged up to 70 percent in only two minutes has been developed by Nanyang Technology University it is being reported.

These batters will also have lifespans of over 20 years, which is more than 10 times that of the existing lithium-ion standard.

If this report is accurate, it will mean electric cars might start to make sense . The vehicles could then be recharged in just minutes and battery replacement would not longer be akin to buying a new car every year.

Still, to make things truly carbon-emission free, the coal and natural gas plants doing the charging would have to be replaced. The only realistic carbon-emission free options as of now are nuclear and hydro.
