Chesco Inquisition Latest — For those who have been wondering about the status of the Chester County Republican Inquisition, we just found this in our inbox.

Election day is April 26, and we are still awaiting a reply from the Chester County GOP for a suitable date for a “hearing” of charges leveled against the Republican Committee in East Nottingham and Elk townships.   While charges have apparently been dropped by the accusers in East Nottingham, Mark Plaugher (former GOP Area chair) and Estace Walters (Twp Supervisor) continue to pursue a case to unseat conservative Elk Township Committeepeople Donna Ellingsen and Steve Mobley.

Donna and Steve have nothing to hide. They have asked that the hearings be open, recorded, and that Chairman Val DiGiorgio be present.  Since December 2015 when charges were filed, county leaders have not deigned to reply to these requests.  The big question is WHY?

Listen in to WFYL 1180 AM on TUESDAY, April 12 from 8  to 9  a.m., when Donna will be a guest of Kim Kennedy’s radio show, It’s a New Day.

So dial tomorrow to WFYL and get it straight from one of those directly involved.

By the way, the Chairman Val DiGirorgio and the Republican Committee of Chester County have a special guest at its spring reception at Valley Forge Casino — Ohio Gov. and no-chance Presidential candidate John Kasich, who for some strange reason insists on staying in the battle.

Chesco Inquisition LatestThe event is April 21, just five days before the Pennsylvania primary.

So for the vast multitudes –that’s sarcasm, son– of Republicans who want a guy who finished fourth in a three man race to head the ticket, know that Val and the RCCC have your back.

Actually, the relevant revelation is that DiGirorgio, who reportedly will be the next state Republican chairman, and the RCCC are out of touch and indifferent to the wishes of the vast multitudes of Republican voters.

Who was Myllarguten? He was a legendary Norwegian fiddle player. Who was Myllarguten? He was a legendary Norwegian fiddle player. So, who was Ole Bull? He was a legendary Norwegian violin player. What’s the difference? Ole played fancy music and Myllarguten played folk music. Also, Ole dressed nicer. They were still friends though.

Here’s an example of what he played. We think.

Amy Elliot and Kate Elliot twins in IrelandKate and Amy Elliot are twins living in Waterford, Ireland. Amy was born June 1, 2012 four months premature. Kate was born 87 days later in the usual 36th week of pregnancy. It should be noted that Amy was born in the 23 week and if she lived in the United States would have had no legal protection due to the powerful and profitable abortion lobby.

Iconic Computer Geek Mystery

Iconic Computer Geek

Iconic Computer Geek Mystery — This picture has been flying around the internet almost from the time the World Wide Web came into existence.

The computer appears to be an IBM XT, which was produced from 1983 to 1987. The printer is dot matrix, the brand of which we can’t identify. The boxes contain 3M 5.25-inch floppy disks and there is a phone jack screwed to the wall presumably for a line for a dial-up modem.

What makes the photo iconic, though, is the guy behind the keyboard. The cigarette, the hairstyle, the glasses, taste in clothes and overweight slouch screamed that here is someone who spent all his days and nights acquiring arcane skills and dealing with the problems to keep the machines working.

And drinking a lot of carbonated, caffeinated sugar water.

Many uncharitably assume the cheap paneling is in a basement rec room. We always figured it was in a small business maybe because we worked at one once about that time with that decor.

In 2011, a photo was placed on Reddit claiming to be the same guy 20 years later and much cleaned up before the same paneling. It was republished on tech sites world wide.

No name was supplied though. He deserves one. He’s part of history.

Here is the alleged before and after shot.

Update: We have been told that the icon’s name is Dave Aho and the second guy is not him. Obviously, we cannot provide a definitive judgement but here is Dave’s photo from Facebook.

Did you ever eat gruel?Did you ever eat gruel? It’s actually something you drink rather than eat. It is a cereal boiled in water or milk. Malt is gruel.  If you ever drank Ovaltine, you’ve had gruel.

Porridge is also cereal boiled in water or milk but thicker. Have you ever eaten that? Oatmeal is porridge, as is Cream of Wheat. Yes, you probably have eaten porridge.

Wolf Ignores Budget Restrictions

Wolf Ignores Budget Restrictions By Leo Knepper Wolf Ignores Budget Restrictions

Included in the 2014-2015 budget was $200 million in additional funding for schools. The budget also included language that required “enabling” legislation to spell out how the new funds would be distributed. That enabling legislation was the “Fiscal Code”, which the governor vetoed. In other words, Governor Wolf is breaking the law in spending the money.

Adding insult to injury, the Governor is spending the money according to a formula he essentially made up on his own without input from the legislature. The Fiscal Code included changes recommended by a bipartisan education funding reform commission. Governor Wolf ignored those recommendations in determining how he was going to distribute the funds illegally.

The Harrisburg Patriot-News highlighted some of the discrepancies between the Governor’s distribution and the distribution spelled out in the vetoed Fiscal Code:

“Philadelphia’s share of the $200 million in new education funding is $76.8 million – a full 38 percent – under the restoration formula, wheras [sic] under the bi-partisan-backed formula, it would have received $42.4 million.
“Pittsburgh receives $7.5 million under the governor’s formula; $3.1 million under the one lawmakers would prefer be used. Chester-Upland receives $16.3 million under the restoration formula compared to $2 million under the other distribution system. ”

The changes in those three school districts’ funding levels under Wolf’s illegal plan, consume over $53 million in funding designated for other schools. The Governor’s decision to redirect a quarter of the new money to three schools districts, without legislative authorization, is one more example of Wolf’s “my way or the highway” approach to governing.

It is worth noting that according to the news article mentioned about, the legislature is looking into taking legal actions against the Governor to stop his latest executive overreach.
