Wolf Labor Contracts Cost Taxpayers Over $1 Billion

Wolf Labor Contracts Cost Taxpayers Over $1 Billion

By Leo Knepper

Governor Tom Wolf negotiated a sweetheart deal with the four largest state labor unions. That is to say, it is good for them but expensive for taxpayers.

Over the next four years, taxpayers will be shelling out an additional $1.1 billion to some of the largest donors to Governor Wolf’s re-election campaign. These same unions donated millions to get Wolf re-elected, and that raises the question: Who was looking out for taxpayers at the negotiating table?

The answer is clearly no one, and that is one of the reasons that historical figures like Franklin D. Roosevelt opposed government unions. FDR stated, “The process of collective bargaining, as usually understood, cannot be transplanted into the public service.” Keeping in mind that the government unions negotiating for more tax dollars are also some of the largest spenders on political campaigns, it is no wonder why government at every level is in financial shambles.

The new contracts are the most recent example of a broken system, and it is something that goes beyond any one governor or even any one political partyPennsylvania’s financial mismanagement is bipartisan:

Governor Ridge gave government employees a 25 percent increase to their pensions, and members of the legislature, at the time, received a 50 percent bump.

Governor Rendell sold the public on a transportation plan that is bankrupting the Turnpike.

And, Governor Corbett gave Pennsylvania the highest gas taxes in the county.

Pennsylvania doesn’t have a Republican or Democrat problem. Politicians from both parties have been driving the Commonwealth toward a cliff. One party’s policies will just get us there faster.

Mr. Knepper is executive director of Citizens Alliance of Pennsylvania.

Rudy Seth Rich Tweet

Matt Couch of America First Media is the tip of the spear concerning the investigation of the unsolved  July 10, 2016 murder of Seth Rich.

Rich was director of voter expansion data for the Democratic National Committee. It is believed by many that he was the source for the Wikileaks revelations that showed the DNC rigged the 2016 presidential primary against Bernie Sanders.

For months, Couch has been tweeting this in reference to Rich.

Yesterday, Aug. 26, Rudy Giuliani with his blue check mark responded.

“I’d like to know” he said.

Fox tossing William Lawrence Sr Omnibit 8-27-19

Fox tossing which involved shooting a fox — or other animal — in the air with a sling was a real thing back in Renaissance times.

It was a co-ed event with a mixed doubles category. Sometimes the animals were put in costume before being flung. Tossed animals were put out of their misery by boys and court dwarves with clubs.

Just something to bring up the next time you plan a Renaissance faire.

Michael Mann Must Pay Costs After Refusing To Release Data

Michael Mann Must Pay Costs After Refusing To Release Data — Michael Mann, the Penn State prof who probably more than anyone gave global warming its science cred, has been ordered by a Canadian court to pay all court costs to Dr. Tim Ball, after he refused to surrender his data for court examination.

Ball is an expert on historical climatology.

Mann was trying to use a lawsuit to quiet Ball — as he has with other critics — and had it backfire spectacularly. It is even being speculated that Mann even face criminal charges for using using public funds to commit climate data fraud.

Mann is the creator of the “hockey stick” graph that showed temperatures stable for centuries then rising dramatically about 1910.

Mann’s phony temperature chart vs Ball’s real one.

Ball pointed out that the best data shows that the temperature was far from stable and was actually far higher in the Middle Ages when there was less people and no industrialization.

Many are global warming skeptics because the proponents’ behavior is anything but scientific. Rather than debate dissenters openly, they smeared them behind the scenes or in media campaigns. When they failed, they used the courts, an avenue that now seems to be closed.

And, of course, their hypocritical private lives did not come close to following their public claims.

Nobody likes pollution. Ever wonder why global warming advocates don’t push for win-win non-controversial ways of cutting CO2 emissions, like telecommuting or planting trees as Ethiopia recently did?

We suspect that it’s because these solutions would not increase their wealth or power.

Yeah, we can safely say the “climate change” movement is a scam.
