Change Coming To Delco Prison Councilman Says

Change Coming To Delco Prison Councilman Says — Delaware County (Pa.) Council was berated, last night, June 18, once again regarding conditions at the George W. Hill Correctional Facility but this time one council member promised action.

“Change is coming,” said Vice Chair Richard R. Womack.

In public comments Kathy from Haverford blasted Councilman Kevin M. Madden, who is prison liaison, for public comments he made saying they were false. She brought up the death of inmate Andrew Little and said there was a cover-up of how it happened.

Kimberly Brown of Colwyn, a case manager at Hill, said that Madden will believe anything Warden Laura Williams tells him.

She said the jail is “melting” and the temperature was at least 100 degrees in one cell block

Frank Kwaning, president of the Delaware County (Pa) Prison Employees Independent Union, told the board that they have a petition with 500 names declaring no confidence in Ms. Williams.

He said that the prison has become a place of chaos in the two years the county has been in charge.

Kwaning blasted Madden for telling what he called “half truths and lies.” He said workers at the prison suffer harassment and retaliation for speaking out.

Correctional Officer Albert Johnson of Morton praised Womack and Executive Director Barbara O’Malley for visiting the prison but said what they saw didn’t reflect what was happening.

He said “the officers and sergeants and lieutenants and everyone” are demoralized.

He said Delco residents shouldn’t have to pay for the lawsuits coming up.

A woman named Carter, who was an investigator at the prison, said discrimination was rampant there.

“I never worked on a place where people could be fired so easily,” she said.

People are written up for minor offenses without being told, she said. These write-up are used against them if they should upset those in charge.

“That jail feels like a cult sometimes,” she said.

She said good people are either being fired or quitting.

It’s supposed to be a career job, she said.

She said certain people shouldn’t be in certain positions without training or experience.

This sounded like a dig at Warden Williams whose career in corrections in 2014 as a substance abuse counselor.

Womack said that it is undeniable that people are being fired or leaving.

“You ain’t going to tell me something is going on,” he said.

He pointed out that he was just one of five councilmembers but he was not going to let the chaos continue.

“Change is coming,” he said.

Madden, who attended the meeting remotely, declined to defend himself when his turn came during council comments.

Shapiro And Others Charged With Obstructing Vote Fraud Investigation In Formal Complaint

Shapiro And Others Charged With Obstructing Vote Fraud Investigation In Formal Complaint — Greg Stenstrom of Glen Mills has filed criminal charges against Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, former Gov. Tom Wolf, Delaware County District Attorney Frederick J. (Jack) Stollsteimer and others for obstructing an official proceeding with regard to quashing criminal investigations of voter fraud related to the 2020 Election in Pennsylvania.

Shapiro was then the state’s attorney general.

Leah Hoopes, who is Stenstrom’s partner concerning the battle for election integrity in Delaware County, posted on X, that this action mandates a formal investigation and gives leverage to Congress and the Supreme Court to suspend election interference by the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE).

“(There is) no way around these charges,” Ms. Hoopes said. “This is (the difference) from all previous cases submitted to state and federal officials and agencies by other election integrity groups . . .and what we have been quietly and diligently working on and assembling for almost four years.”

The documents submitted can be read here.

Stenstrom and Ms. Hoopes are the authors of The Parallel Election concerning what happened in Delaware County. A 20-minute documentary describing what happened can be found here.

Graffiti Plagues Ardmore; Does Larry Holmes Care?

Graffiti Plagues Ardmore; Does Larry Holmes Care?— This fence that separates the SEPTA bus route from Chestnutwold Elementary School sure is looking a bit urban. This is in the 6th Ward in the Ardmore section of Haverford Township, Pa., which is represented by Commissioner Larry Holmes. So Larry what are you doing about this? Don’t you care? Does the Haverford Township School Board? By the way the SEPTA bus route is looking pretty poorly too. We see that former Montco Commissioner Ken Lawrence has been named chairman of SEPTA’s board.

Homily On Matthew 8 By Saint John Chrysostom

Homily On Matthew 8 By Saint John Chrysostom — But nevertheless, though having such great faith, he still accounted himself to be unworthy. Christ, however, signifying that he was worthy to have Him enter his house, did much greater things, marveling at him and proclaiming him and giving more than he had asked.

For he came indeed seeking for his servant’s health of body, but went away, having received a kingdom.

Do you see how the saying had already been fulfilled? “Seek the kingdom of heaven, and all these things shall be added unto you.” For because he evinced great faith, and lowliness of mind, He both gave him heaven, and added unto him health.

And not by this alone did He honor him, but also by signifying upon whose casting out he is brought in. For now from this time forth He proceeds to make known to all, that salvation is by faith, not by works of the law.

And this is why not to Jews only, but to Gentiles also the gift so given shall be prooffered, and to the latter rather than to the former.

For “think not,” he says He, by any means, that so it has come to pass in regard of this man alone; nay so it shall be in regard of the whole world. And this He said, prophesying of the Gentiles, and suggesting to them good hopes. For in fact there were some following Him from Galilee of the Gentiles. And this He said, on the one hand, not letting the Gentiles despair, on the other hand putting down the proud spirits of the Jews.

But that His saying might not affront the hearers, nor afford them any handle; He neither brings forward prominently what He has to say of the Gentiles, but upon occasion taken from the centurion; nor does He use nakedly the term, Gentiles: Not saying many of the Gentiles but many from east and west:’ Matthew 8:11 which was the language of one pointing out the Gentiles, but did not so much affront the hearers because His meaning was under a shadow.

Neither in this way only does He soften the apparent novelty of His doctrine, but also by speaking of “Abraham’s bosom” instead of “the kingdom”.
