Dinesh D’Souza Explains Obama

Here is a link to a video of political thinker Dinesh D’Souza describing what motivates Barack Obama as deduced from his book Dreams From My Father and what little else is known about him.

D’Souza says Obama’s father was a West-hating anti-colonist whose dream was to weaken and impoverish America.
Is anybody with a shred of self-respect admitting to having voted for Obama?

Why I Am Depressed

Courtesy of Cathy Martin

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel , “Pick  up your shovels, mount your asses  and camels, and I will  lead you to the Promised Land.”

Nearly 75 years ago, (when Welfare was introduced) Roosevelt said, “Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a Camel, this is the Promised Land.”

Today, Congress has stolen your shovel, taxed your asses, raised the price of Camels and mortgaged the Promised Land!

I was so depressed last night thinking about Health Care Plans, the economy, multiple wars, lost jobs, savings, Social Security, retirement funds, etc. .  .. . I called a Suicide Hotline.  I had to press 1 for English.

I was connected to a call center in Pakistan.  I told them I was suicidal. They got excited and asked if I could drive a truck……

Folks, we’re in trouble!

Komen Fundraisers Missing Targets

Donations are way down at Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

The group founded to raise money for breast cancer research announced Feb. 2 that it was ending grants to Planned Parenthood due to the legal entanglements in which the abortion provider had enmeshed itself as well as the realization that providing abortions did not really have all that much to do with breast cancer research.
Well,  the limo-riding, catered-lunch-imbibing One Percenters had a fit and a day later the decision was reversed.
Unfortunately for Komen, this enlightened many supporters as to where  its money was going, and now they feel much less kindly towards it.
Komen has revealed that it has been unable to reach its goals in at least two of the five fundraisers since the kerfuffle.

Specifically cited were races in Lafayette, La, and Fort Worth, Texas.

Hey, who needs those hillbillies anyway. They all probably like Rick Santorum and Sarah Palin.

Now, where is that limo. I have a catered lunch to attend to raise money for Occupy Wall Street.

Oh, a free tip to those who run charities — church-going conservatives are far, far, far more generous with their money than the catered-lunchers.

No Open Fires Until May 25

State Rep. Jim Cox (R-129) reminds us that open fires are prohibited on state forestland from though May 25 unless authorized by district foresters due higher possibly of forest fires from sparks falling on dry leaves or other tinder.

Nearly 85 percent of Pennsylvania’s wildfires occur in March, April and May, before the greening of woodlands and brush lands.

Bachmann, Cain Endorse Rohrer

Nationally noted fiscal hawks Michele Bachmann and Herman Cain have endorsed Sam Rohrer in his race to be the GOP nominee to take on Democrat incumbent Bob Casey in the U.S. Senate race.

The primary election is April 24. Polling shows Rohrer, who was Republican chairman of the Finance Committee when he served in the State House, to be the front runner.

Party endorsed Steve Welch, a Joe-Sestak-supporting, Obama voter, is dead last. Why would the Pennsylvania Republican Party want a Joe-Sestak-supporting, Obama voter to be the one to face Casey? I have no idea but it looks like the constituency doesn’t.

Cain’s endorsement came Friday.

Mrs. Bachmann announced her support today. Mrs. Bachmann, who represents Minnesota’s 6th District in Congress,  has credited Roher with inspiring her to enter politics.

Most Americans Think Public Schools Fail

A poll by Rasmussen Reports shows that 64 percent of Americans strongly believe that most high school graduates lack the skills need for college or a job.

Just 21 percent think that the graduates have the skills while 16 percent aren’t sure.
Rasmussen notes that most Americans also believe  that students who are home-schooled learn more than those in the public schools.
So why do we spend more per child on education than everyone else but have schools that are objectively a failure? If you score a 21 on your test your are going to get an “F” after all. At least traditionally. Who knows now? One suspects the catered-lunch-loving, SUV driving administrators and educrat establishment will figure out a way to get you a diploma just to keep the milk flowing to them.
Why do we keep voting for politicians — especially in Pennsylvania — who ignore the wishes of their constituents but not those of educrat lobbyists by bending over backward to protect the bad teachers while refusing to reward the good ones?
Don’t ever underestimate the degree of legal corruption in this nation. One has come to suspect that most people who enter “public service” are doing it solely to increase their own wealth and power at the expense of those who want to live in peace and brotherhood with their neighbors.
Why do Pennsylvania legislators get a base salary of $80,000  plus per diems, health insurance  and a real sweet retirement plan?

What Makes Animal Athletics Different

Judy McGrane sent this link depicting how the unsporting behavior of a competitor at a dog show led to its disqualification.

I don’t think you see this occur at the Olympics.
It would certainly be something people would talk about if it should.
