Pennsylvania Primary Election 2015

Tomorrow, May 19, is Primary Election Day for 2015 which will determine who will be the party nominees for the general election  on Nov. 3 for the judicial and municipal offices which include school boards and county offices.  Pennsylvania Primary Election 2015

It’s a low turnout race so one’s vote is very important.

We are generally going to go with the Republican Party recommendations albeit we are going to pick state Montour County District Attorney Rebecca Warren, for state Supreme Court in lieu of one of the endorsed candidates who are Adams County Common Pleas Court Judge Mike George, Commonwealth Court Judge Anne Covey of Bucks County, and Superior Court candidate Judy Olson of Pittsburgh. All are good choices, however, as is Superior Court Judge Cheryl Allen of Pittsburgh. Judge Allen is black, for those whose priority is diversity.

We encourage all Penn Delco residents to vote for Lisa Esler for school board and that all Montgomery County residents hit the button for Joe Gale for Montgomery County Commissioner. Fresh blood is definitely needed in that once Republican stronghold.

  1. Judges should not be elected! They should be appointed by a committee made up of retired judges, arbitrators and laymen/women.

  2. I have heard this poor idea over and over, take the power of the vote away from the people, and give it to some good old boys who will use it to beat us down even more. Every time a judge makes a decision, it should be on behalf of us WE THE PEOPLE, and within the confines of the constitution as intended by our FOUNDING FATHERS. Every time you take away our voting rights, you weaken this great nation, and strengthen the power of those within who wish to destroy our nation, and take away our freedoms and liberty. You obviously don’t believe in our system, please move to North Korea where they will make all your choices for you!

  3. Judge Cheryl Allen, Rebecca Warren, and the young Judith Olson have my votes after reviewing their backgrounds and comments on the judiciary. It is time to vote for those who believe in our rights as outlined in the constitution, not those who wish to TRANSFORM us into the type of country they wish to have via judicial activism based on what they wish the constitution says. I am 62, formerly of Delaware County, presently in Mifflin county, and I VOTE! We all need to do our homework, get off the couch, turn off the liberal news, and go to the polls and take a stand against those that would destroy this great country we are blessed to live in! THANKS FOR THE BLOG SPACE BILL!

  4. On another subject that will possibly rear it’s ugly head in November, a possible vote to extend the retirement age of judges from 70 to 75 years old. I am against this, and will have to vote NO. Although I believe many can be sharp enough at that age to contribute to our great nation, on the other hand, some WON’T be sharp enough at that age, and the future of this great country belongs in the hands of our younger generations. They are our future, and I believe they have the right to reverse the damage imposed on us by those who are hanging on forever, who refuse to retire, who refuse to step aside. I plan on retiring, I wish rather than talking about increasing the retirement age, we were talking TERM LIMITS. Not to go off subject, look at our US SUPREME COURT, a never ending parade of liberal activists who will never leave office until the bitter end is near. Don’t vote for an extension, don’t vote for the same generation, give the new generation a chance, as in Judith Olson, it will be their country, let them LEAD! THANKS BILL!
