German, not Nazi.
I’m reminded of a quote from Bill Mauldin, in his book, “Up Front.” He wrote, “When a dogface is sweating out an 88 barrage in his foxhole, he doesn’t say, ‘Those dirty Nazis!’ He says, ‘Those goddam Krauts!'”
It’s interesting to note that the Israelis flew Me-109s that were built by Avia from parts and supplies left behind after the German defeat.
