Biden Kerry Chicom News Judgement — The media is making a YUGE story about a sex worker saying she shagged then businessman Donald Trump 12 years ago.
Interesting we guess. Two decades ago we’d have been real upset. Totally outraged. Callouses grow though.
Two decades ago the media would have killed the story, of course, just as they are killing another far, far, far more significant one.
Hunter Biden, the son of former Vice President Joe Biden, and Christopher Heinz, the stepson of former Secretary of State John Kerry, are in business together. Their company is called Rosemont Capital. Subsidiaries include Rosemont Seneca Partners, LLC, Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners, and Rosemont Realty.
Rosemont is the name of the Heinz family estate outside of Pittsburgh.
Anyway, Rosemont has made a series of great business deals with the Chinese. These deals came on the heels of diplomatic missions directed by the principles’ parents that were puzzlingly beneficial to Beijing.
Anyway, Mr. President, God bless you. We don’t care how many porn queens you shagged. You love this country and you are looking out for us, unlike the hypocrites and, yes, traitors who populate our Capital.
KYW Bias Jarred Upon Return — The Great Nor’easter of 2018 knocked out power here for 24 hours starting 2 p.m., Friday (March 2), and we resorted to the transistor radio and KYW for news.
Our return to traditional media was jarring, to say the least.
The journalism put us in despair. While there was plenty of coverage of some murder where a man shot his wife and mother-in-law, and there was sports and news about Hollywood, little was heard about the story of the day, namely one million-plus Philadelphia-area residents being without power and heat during a winter storm.
What was arguably worse was the bias. It was always there but shone like a spotlight after a long hiatus.
Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court had given another victory to the Mariner East Two Pipeline appropriately ruling that local zoning laws do not apply to it.
KWY reported it.
The pipeline, which is owned by Sunoco and Energy Transfer Partners, would move natural gas from the frack fields of Ohio and Western Pennsylvania to Sunoco’s Marcus Hook Refinery.
KYW picked an opponent of the pipeline to be interviewed. This person bemoaned the decision. This person said the pipeline endangers the community — it doesn’t — implying the judges were motivated by cronyism and corruption rather than law.
The comments were treated sympathetically and left without rebuttal.
Nobody pointed out that the pipeline would create jobs, lower consumer costs, provide taxes and increase energy independence. Nobody pointed out that there are risks to everything — especially involving energy — and the risks concerning this project are miniscule.
Nobody pointed out that the state has supremacy over municipalities when it comes to oil and gas matters.
That some still get their information from sources like this is why the Democrat Party still wins elections.
Fake News Pope Francis Donald Trump –Some don’t take us seriously when we point out that Pope Francis and Donald Trump have a lot more in common than is usually thought.
“. . .when we yield to our own pride and selfishness, we can also distort the way we use our ability to communicate,” Francis said. “This can be seen from the earliest times, in the biblical stories of Cain and Abel and the Tower of Babel . The capacity to twist the truth is symptomatic of our condition, both as individuals and communities.”
Note this was one week after a certain other world leader gave out awards for “fake news”.
Francis defined “fake news” as “the spreading of disinformationon line or in the traditional media.”
“It has to do with false information based on non-existent or distorted data meant to deceive and manipulate the reader,” he said. “Spreading fake news can serve to advance specific goals, influence political decisions, and serve economic interests.”
So how do we defend ourselves?
“The most radical antidote to the virus of falsehood is purification by the truth,” Francis said.
He noted that “The truth is not just bringing to light things that are concealed, “revealing reality”, as the ancient Greek term aletheia (from a-lethès, “not hidden”) might lead us to believe (but) involves our whole life. ”
He said “Truth is something you can lean on, so as not to fall. In this relational sense, the only truly reliable and trustworthy One – the One on whom we can count – is the living God. Hence, Jesus can say: ‘I am the truth’. We discover and rediscover the truth when we experience it within ourselves in the loyalty and trustworthiness of the One who loves us. This alone can liberate us: ‘The truth will set you free'”.
He advocated that all participate in a “journalism of peace”.
“By that, I do not mean the saccharine kind of journalism that refuses to acknowledge the existence of serious problems or smacks of sentimentalism,” he said. “On the contrary, I mean a journalism that is truthful and opposed to falsehoods, rhetorical slogans, and sensational headlines. A journalism created by people for people, one that is at the service of all, especially those – and they are the majority in our world – who have no voice. A journalism less concentrated on breaking news than on exploring the underlying causes of conflicts, in order to promote deeper understanding and contribute to their resolution by setting in place virtuous processes. A journalism committed to pointing out alternatives to the escalation of shouting matches and verbal violence.”
Great minds think alike.
So American journalists, this means when you learned powerful forces in federal law enforcement are conspiring with one candidate to win an election, you report it. And not just report it, report it with appropriate outrage.
This means when rich connected types are forcing those without much disposable income to pay for their lifestyles, you, well “afflict the comfortable” even if you had been led to believe they are part of a “progressive” future.

These two buddies enjoying a joke (about women?) perfectly illustrate a big reason for this nation’s problems. A society can’t survive if it is based on lies.
Sen. Al Franken and newly unemployed commentator Charlie Rose for years have been setting social mores and controlling the information we have been receiving much of which was out-and-out falsehood. Matthew Shepard was murdered because he was gay? George W. Bush was a racist? Women make 77 cents on the dollar compared to men? Donald Trump colluded with the Russians?
And while there is no reason to think President Trump colluded with the Russians there is plenty of reason to think his cool-crowd-connected opponent did.
Of course, unless you get your info from alternative sources such as talk radio or independent websites, you are not going to know this.
And now it turns out that Franken and Rose and whole lot of others were self-centered pigs who were laughing up their sleeves at the truth for the last four decades.
Well, it paid well.
