Holy Myrrh-Bearers Christmas Basket Raffle
Holy Myrrh-Bearers Christmas Basket Raffle — Holy Myrrh-Bearers Parish starts its annual Christmas Basket Raffle, Friday, Oct. 28. More than 30 beautifully prepared, themed raffle baskets will be auctioned off.
The baskets will be on display in the social hall of the church at 900 Fairview Road, Swarthmore Pa. 19081.
The raffle will take place at the St. Nicholas Dinner, Dec. 4.
Regular raffle tickets are $2 with 3 for $5, 8 for $10 and 17 for $20 options.
For the “big item” basket table tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20.
Tickets are available before and after the services on the weekend in the social hall and during the pierogie sale hours which are 10 a.m. – 2p.m., Thursday, Friday and Saturdays.

Lesser Of Evils Discussed On Carmela — Carmela Ciliberti’s latest podcast concerns the lesser of two evils as it relates to the Nov. 8 election.
She will be voting straight Republican including for John Lawrence for the 13th District State House seat whom she constantly eviscerated in her primary battle with him.
Frankly, she eviscerated him in her podcast as well but she’s still voting for him as all sane people should considering his opponent.
Only fools say choosing the lesser of two evils is still evil at least with regard to elections. What’s evil is failing to mitigate evil.

Ms. Logan, who had been the CBS Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent and a 60 Minutes host, said a source told her that the globalists had a plan to illegally migrate 100 million people to the US to dilute the pool of patriotism.
What a silly thing to say. Who could even imagine such? That was sarcasm.
She also said those in the World Economic Forum dine on the blood of children.
She was called an anti-semite for spreading a “blood libel” and has been banned forever from the network.
That Klaus Schwab, the villainous Swiss face of the WEF, is not Jewish but the son of a guy who literally worked for the Nazis, is irrelevant it appears when making that smear.

Erik Gerhardt Wants More Liberty And Less Government

Erik Gerhardt clearly states his manifesto on his campaign website: The Constitution was written to control the power of the Government, not to constrict the Liberties of its people.
Gerhardt, 37 of Pennsburg, is the Libertarian candidate for US Senator in Pennsylvania.
“We can promote the independence our founding fathers intended by eliminating property taxes,” he said. “Most taxes are nothing short of theft”.
He also stated the “non-aggression principle” (NAP) his party embraces, namely there is no right to use force except in retaliation.
With regard to abortion, Gerhardt defends the Dodd decision but wants the issue decided in Pennsylvania via referendum. He says he’d like the morning-after pill to be readily available.
“The court’s decision was the right one and the states and their people should have a constitutional question added to the ballot to have the people decide on the issue,” he said.
Gerhardt began working in construction at the age of 16 and started his own business ECG Carpentry, in 2015.
Gerhardt says se need better education for our children, less and fewer taxes and sustainable business plans to not steal from our citizens.
In this GoErie.co interview, Gerhardt describes his three step plan to assist small business, which include triple deductions for businesses with four employees or less, another health care deduction when they break that threshold and health care not being bound by state lines.
His plan for police reform, as described in this Williamsport Sun-Gazette article, includes jujitsu training for recruits.
Hopefully, this 37 year old from Pennsburg can bring many of his ideas to the public during this election cycle.

Those who close their eyes to the demands of love fall asleep in the desire for worldly pleasures. Therefore be watchful. Eating, drinking, carousing, gambling and hunting are pleasures but evils of every kind follow in the wake of these vanities.
No one can deny that they are enjoyable, but the love of God’s law must come first, for to love God means to keep His commandments. Which commandments? You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, and you must love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
My brothers and sisters, to widen our hearts, we need not depend upon ourselves. Ask God to help you love one another — to love everyone without exception, not just your friends, but enemies as well, not because they are your brothers and sisters in Christ, but so that they may be. Pray that you may always have a warm, fraternal love for other people, both for those who have become your brothers and sisters, and for your enemies, that they become such.
Whenever you love brothers or sisters you love friends, for they are already with you, joined to you in faith unity. If they live virtuously you love them as people who have been changed from enemies into brothers and sisters.
But suppose you love people who do not yet believe in Christ, or if they do, yet believe as the devil believes — they believe in Christ, but still do not love him.
You must love just the same. You must love even people like that. You must love them as brothers and sisters. They are not such yet, but you must love them so that they may become such through your kindness.
All our love, then, must be fraternal.
