Ras Still Has Toomey 6 Points Ahead Of Admiral Joe

The latest Rasmussen poll still shows Republican Pat Toomey ahead of Democrat Congressman Joe Sestak in the race to replace Snarlin’ Arlen Specter as senator from Pennsylvania.

The 45-39 percent breakdown is unchanged from two weeks ago. Ten percent are undecided and 6 percent prefer someone else.

This has not been a very good month for Sestak who says he loves Jews because he served in the U.S. Navy. TV stations ultimately ignored his demands to remove opposition political advertising; he was caught in shameless hypocrisy when he was found accepting campaign dough from those for whom he did favors despite a pointed promise that he would not do such things; and the Philadelphia Inquirer ran a guest piece defending his cozy ties to the Council on Islamic-American Relations (CAIR) written by the executive director of CAIR’s Philadelphia office side-by-side with an article pointing out CAIR’s numerous terrorist connections written by Benyamin Korn who is director of Jewish Americans for Sarah Palin and former editor of the Jewish Exponent, an influential Philadelphia-area weekly.

Admiral Joe started this race leading the mild-mannered  Toomey in the polls.

Joe, Give Back The Dough

GOP senate nominee Pat Toomey has sent a letter to Dem opponent Congressman Joe Sestak (D-Pa7) asking he return $119,650 in campaign contributions. Why? The donor has  received  federal earmarks through Sestak’s office and Sestak says “If an organization or individual has made a request for an appropriations project, and has made a contribution to his campaign, he returns that contribution”

That earmarks were being steered to Sestak donors came to light in this July 15 Philadelphia Inquirer article by Thomas Fitzgerald .

“According to your website, this pledge was made as part of your ‘effort to restore faith in government,'” Toomey said. “This is a noble goal and I fully agree with the sentiment. It is apart of the reason I have long opposed the corrupt Washington earmarking system that results in the waste of millions of taxpayer dollars and shady backroom deals.”

Toomey counts corporate CEOs who have given the individual maximum and “at least one who even hosted a fundraiser” for Sestak as among the beneficiaries of the crony capitalism.

Here’s the complete text of Toomey’s letter.

Stations Rescind Surrender To Sestak After Finding Ads Claims Legit

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce ads pointing out Congressman Joe Sestak’s support for job-killing economics and his lock-step voting record with San Francisco limousine liberal and crony-capitalist Nancy Pelosi are back on WPGH and WPMY in Pittsburgh after station management investigated the complaints by Sestak and found them unfounded.

Sestak, who represents Pennsylvania’s 7th District, is the Democrat nominee to replace Arlen Specter in the U.S. Senate.

He had objected to the ads because they claimed he voted with Pelosi “100 percent”  and he had voted against an amendment on the DISCLOSE Act, a bill which would impose restrictions on campaign financing.

Bill Miller, the Chamber’s senior vice president of political affairs, noted that Sestak voted entirely with Pelosi on every bill of substance including the final version of the DISCLOSE Act .

If you want to be technical the Washington Post says Sestak has voted with Pelosi 97.8 percent of the time.

Unfair! Joe Didn’t Know They Were Terrorists

Joe Sestak not helping raise money for CAIR at a 2007 $50-per-ticket CAIR fundraiser.

Joe Sestak, a Springfield native and the Democrat’s hope to replace Arlen Specter as Pennsylvania senator, has filed complaints regarding two ads being run against him and has threatened to take the broadcasters to the FCC if they continued being shown.

The ad produced by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce takes Joe to task for supporting bizarre anti-consumer policies and claims Sestak voted with House Speaker and San Francisco leftist Nancy Pelosi 100-percent of the time.

Not true, says Sestak. It was only 97 percent of the time.

Anyway WPGH and WPMY of the Pittsburgh area which were among  the 14 television stations airing this ad succumbed to Sestak’s threats and pulled it.

Update: It was reported today, July 17, that WPGH and WPMY have rescinded their surrender and have restored the ads.

Meanwhile the Emergency Committee for Israel has produced an ad highlighting the criticism in which Sestak has joined regarding attempts by Israel to keep the Gaza strip from being used as base for Islamic terror attacks, and Sestak’s 2007 appearance at a fundraiser for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which the FBI has determined to be a front-group for Hamas, an Islamic terror group that seeks to replace Israel with an Islamic state.

Sestak’s response is basically hey, the FBI didn’t say it was a terror front-man at the time and I really wasn’t raising funds at the fundraiser.

The naivete alone should disqualify Sestak from any position of responsibility but when one wonders why CAIR was throwing its significant Philadelphia influence behind him, the implications are frightening.

Here’s the Emergency Committee for Israel ad.

The New TSOP–Tax $ Giving Philly Its Own Gaza Strip

Tax-free charitable gifts along with federal grants and loans have been used to turn a section of South Philadelphia into an Islamic enclave.

Universal Companies — the charity established in 1993 by the artist formerly known as Kenny Gamble — has spent $1.6 billion to promote Islam much of it in the 800 block of South 15th Street, according to Paul Williams , Ph.D, of FamilySecurityMatters.org. The neighborhood now has a mosque and an Islamic charter school and tough-looking security guards on corners in kufis .

Gamble and Leon Huff are the founders of Philadelphia International Records and wrote some of the biggest hits of the 1970s including Me and Mrs. Jones, Love Train and TSOP (The Sound of Philadelphia). Gamble converted to Islam in 1975 and took the name Luqman Abdul Haqq

Gamble now holds a high ranking position in the Muslim Alliance in North America (MANA) which focus on converting Blacks to Islam especially in prisons.

Gamble is also connected with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR ) but then so is Springfield’s own Congressman Joe Sestak (D-Pa7) and Joe wants to be senator.

In other Islamic news, Afshan Azad, the young lady who has been portraying Padma Patil in the Harry Potter movies, is now expressing regret for reporting the beating for which her father and brother have spent five weeks in an English jail. Dad and bro beat and threatened to kill Miss Azad for dating a Hindu boy. Miss Azad is from a British Muslim family.

Hey Kenny, tell all the folks in Egypt we don’t want their  garbage theology. Maybe Sestak should move to Cairo and run for senator over there.

Toomey Leads Sestak In Latest Ras

Former congressman Pat Toomey, the Republican, leads  liberal darling Democrat Congressman Joe Sestak by seven points in the race to represent Pennsylvania in the Senate according to the Rasmussen poll released June 4. Two weeks ago, Rasmussen had Sestak up by four following his widely publicized primary win over party-endorsed incumbent Arlen Specter in the Democratic primary race, making it the first time Sestak led at the start of a race in which he was not running as the incumbent.

Sestak represents the 7th District of Pennsylvania.

Toomey represented the 15th District from 1999 to 2005.

DNA Tests For Obama, Sestak Neckties?

So.

When Congressman and Springfield, Pa. native Joe Sestak told newsman Larry Kane last February that the Obama administration offered him a high ranking job if he would drop out of the Democrat senate primary here’s what really happened.

See, it was former President Bill Clinton who made the offer. Yeah, President Clinton, that’s the ticket.

And it was for a unpaid advisory job on an intelligence board, see. Nothing impeachable, get it? And an unpaid advisory job would tempt anyone to drop out of the race, right?

A tip to President Obama and Congressman Sestak, wash your neckties. You know President Clinton didn’t take the stage in this farce for nothing.

See Thank You, Joe Sestak.

Thank You, Joe Sestak

President Obama, at a rare press conference yesterday, took full credit for stopping the Deepwater Horizon oil spill

“The American people should know that from the moment this disaster began, the federal government has been in charge of the response effort,” Obama said.

So now we know why the spill lasted over a month.

Obama then slammed shut new off-shore drilling in U.S. waters saying:

First, we will suspend the planned exploration of two locations off the coast of Alaska
Second,we will cancel the pending lease sale in the Gulf of Mexico and the proposed lease sale off the coast of Virginia.
Third, we will continue the existing moratorium and suspend the issuance of new permits to drill new deep water wells for six months.
And four, we will suspend action on 33 deep water exploratory wells currently being drilled in the Gulf of Mexico.

In other words, he will continue to do what it takes to send our money to our oil-rich adversaries so they can pay to build mosques on the hollowed grounds of the 9/11 attacks.

He also said “what’s also been made clear from this disaster is that for years, the oil and gas industry has leveraged such power that they have effectively been allowed to regulate themselves” which is something that should make you go hmmmm.

With regard to Springfield Pa.’s own contribution to the failure of this incredibly incompetent administration, Obama said:

The — there will be an official response shortly on the Sestak issue which I hope will answer your questions. You will get it from my administration, so — and it will — it will be coming out — when I say shortly, I mean shortly. I don’t mean weeks or months. With respect to the first –I can assure the public that nothing improper took place. But as I said, there will be a response shortly on that issue.

(For President Obama’s explanation see DNA Tests For Obama, Sestak Neckties? )

Dick Morris, who was President Clinton’s go-toe guy during the most successful parts of that administration, said  Congressman Sestak’s allegation of a job offer from Obama, if true, would be  an impeachable offense, and if Washington is unwilling to investigate the matter Pennsylvan Attorney General Tom Corbett, from whence Sestak is from, should empanel a grand jury to do so.

The sooner Obama is impeached and removed from office, the better for America and the world.

Thank you, Joe Sestak.

Specter Takes Gloves Off With Admiral Joe

So it is a horse race in the Pennsylvania Democrat senate primary.  Showing why he’s not called Snarlin’ Arlen for nothing, the incumbent Specter, yesterday, released a blistering attack ad against challenger Congressman Joe Sestak (D-7) called “No Show Joe” in which he notes Sestak was “relieved of duty in the Navy for creating a poor command climate” and has the “worst attendance of any Pennsylvania congressman”.

Until this month , Specter, who is the party-endorsed candidate, had been leading the congressman handily in the polls.

Pass the popcorn.

Why Santorum Endorsed Specter

Maybe Pennsylvania conservatives owe Rick Santorum an apology.

Many stayed home in 2006 setting the stage for Democrat Bob Casey to take the senate seat Santorum held since 1995. Some even actively worked against him.

And it was all because Santorum endorsed incumbent Arlen Specter over insurgent Pat Toomey in the 2004 GOP senate primary.  Yes, children Arlen Specter was a Republican in those days.

Santorum has now revealed to Specter’s consternation that the endorsement was contingent on Arlen supporting President Bush’s judicial nominees.

Could this be something Santorum is making up? Well, Specter unequivocally supported Bush’s judicial nominees, a thing that is biting him in his butt now that he has switched parties.

Congressman Joe “The Red Admiral” Sestak has crept to within two points of the party — that’s Democrat Party  — endorsed Specter in the latest Rasmussen poll to be the Dem’s senate nominee this November.

With 10 percent undecided, I think I’d actually put money on The Red Admiral in the May 18 primary.
