Delco Hires Three Medical Examiners

Delaware County (Pa) Council, tonight, July 3, approved 29 agenda items including an agreement with doctors to serve as medical examiners. They are Dr. Gary Collins for $55,000; Dr. Khalil Wardack for $100,000; and Bonnie Hartley of InSync for $79,100.
Council also approved a change order with Meco Construction that will raise the cost of the the Orange Street parking project to $1,396,498, an increase of about $11,000
It was announced that there were 43 court ordered tax refunds between 2016 and 2024 totaling $72,776.93.
Council also approved the removal of Donna Silvestri from the Delaware County Conversation District Board.
In public comments, Kathy from Haverford questioned the utility of Delco’s Medical Examiner’s Office.
“They don’t do anything,” she said. “Call 911 for a dead body and they don’t come out.”
Carris Kocher of Concord noted that the delay in getting the Orange Street garage running has caused a tremendous inconvenience.
