Problematic Montco Judge Tapped For Fed Court — Montgomery County Common Pleas Court Judge Gail A. Weilheimer has been nominated by Joe Biden to serve as United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
The nomination was recommended by Pennsylvania’s Democrat senators Bob Casey and John Fetterman.
Judge Weilheimer is involved with the troubling stories regarding family court matter in Montco, including the torture inflicted on Arthur Herring.
She is the wife of Philadelphia Inquirer Vice President and Chief General Counsel Larry Wellheimer, and closely connected to Gov. Josh Shapiro.
With Democrat control of the US Senate her confirmation is basically assured.
Black Support Growing For Trump In Philly, Keystoners Told — Support for Donald Trump is growing among Philadelphia Blacks, the audience of last night’s, July, 11, Keystone Town Hall was told.
Mina Quarles a captain of Trump Force 47 said her group is holding flag waves and voter registrations in the city.
The flag waves get enthusiastic support and people — including Blacks — are flipping to R.
Ms. Quarles said her mother was a die-hard Democrat and now strongly backs The Donald. She routinely — and shamelessly — wears a MAGA hat.
Mom doesn’t experience hostility, said Ms. Quarles.
But she does get strange looks.
The Black community is ready to flip, she says. She says the only obstacle is that still not enough are saying the can be Republicans.
Ms. Quarles was a speaker at the June 22 Trump Rally at Temple University’s Liacouras Center.
She said she felt a unifying sense of hope.
Ms. Quarles, however, said one surprising group of treacherous snakes in her grassroots group of volunteers has found are in the Philadelphia Republican Party.
She said this revelation hit home during Sam Oropeza’s 2023 unsuccessful City Council bid.
“People don’t know that it’s our own party working against it,” she said.
Ms. Quarles said those in the suburbs can help their city brothers and sisters by sharing videos of their flag wavings and other events on social media.
She says the Instagram account Flip Philly Red details their activities.
Also speaking was Ms. Quarles’s daughter Jadyn.
Jadyn said teachers at her school bullied her for supporting Trump.

SEPTA Stupidity In Springfield — Once upon a time the SEPTA Route 101 trolley made all stops on the north side of Springfield Road at this station in Springfield. A while back, some genius decided it stop on the north side for trolleys bound for 69th Street and on the south side for trolleys bound for Media.
This means a round-trip commuter is always going to have to cross the busy street once whereas before the street would rarely have to be crossed.
Note the “do not cross” sign that directs one a block away to a crosswalk which makes sure the automobile traffic gets sated before one gets a walk signal.
Did any of the brilliant thinkers every consider that one rushing to catch a trolley might not be inclined to do things properly and risk a rather dangerous crossing?
The reason for the change was supposedly to take advantage of some parking. The second picture is the north side parking lot during the morning rush hour, today, July 11.
Not very strong thinkers are running things. Perhaps the idiocracy has arrived.
Oldest Alternative Party Will Again Field Presidential Candidate
By Bob Small
The country’s oldest on-going alternative party, with a rich history in Pennsylvania, (see below) has evolved since its founding in 1869.
The Prohibition Part has a website, Facebook page, Facebook group account, and a presence on Instagram and X.
In their 1908 Platform, they came out for direct election of Senators, guarantees of bank deposits, outlawing child labor in mines, women’s right to vote, and workers compensation.
And of course prohibiting the sale of alcohol.
Their 2024 Platform contains 24 items, a few of which are congressional term limits, education reform (free community colleges with 4-year degrees) parental choice in education, a strong belief in Federalism, regenerative farming practices and sanctity of life although letting a woman make the final decision.
There is a plethora of information about their presidential candidate, Michael Wood. Now retired, Wood volunteers 500 hours a year in managing a large food bank and his articles have appeared in over a dozen peer-reviewed journals on genealogy and political history.
He has been married for 22 years and they have two sons.
In recent Scott’s Thoughts represents NPR, Wood said “We are not your grandfather’s Prohibition Party”
Wood noted that in 1924, the Prohibition Party ran the first female vice-presidential candidate.
In a wide-ranging interview with Clinton R. Siegle, published in Minds, he references the UK proposing a forever ban on tobacco sales. More interesting is the “Dietary Guidelines for Americans” where the Department of Agriculture and Department of Health and Human Services combine to agree on the statement that “consuming two alcoholic drinks per day is part of a healthy diet”! Since I don’t drink, maybe my wife can have four.
John Pietrowski, the vice presidential candidate, worked for the US Post Office for 33 years. He has been married since 1988 has one child. He is a rare 49-star flag baby. He is the Lector Coordinator of St Clement Roman Catholic Church in Lakewood, Ohio.
Woman Leaves Big Medicine To Spend More Time With Patients
By Sharon Devaney
Jeanne Velasco, M.D., left main stream medicine to start a practice focusing on families. Pharmaceuticals would be minimal and the care would include diet, meditation and others treatments not beloved by corporate bean-counters.
Especially important is that patient visits are not timed.
She said a previous job with a huge health conglomerate doctors were limited to seven minutes per patient.
Children are encouraged to limit social media screen time, play outside, and learn board games.
And especially get off the phones.
Lansdale Pediatrics pushes families to spend time each day together whether it’s cooking a meal, or doing household chores and yard work.
This is all explained in the initial appointment.
Traditional insurance is accepted.
The staff’s continuing education includes mainstream medicine but adds non-traditional things like diet , meditation, reading and calming methods to help with stress for children in the preteen and teenage years.
Again prescription drugs are minimized, says Dr. Velasco
Dr Velasco is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is board certified wit the American Board of Pediatrics.
She is married and the couple lives in Philadelphia with their two dogs
Lower Prov Sued For Stopping Shelter — Lower Providence Township in Montco is getting sued for stopping a “short-term housing project” on the Eagleville Hospital property.
The facility, known as Genny’s Place, would house 60 single adults from Montgomery County for 60-to-90 days.
Does this include new residents of Montco from points south who maybe aren’t there legally?
Behind this is the Philadelphia-based Resources for Human Development, a non-governmental organization.
Hot Time At Trump Flag Wave in Delco — The 90-degree July heat didn’t stop yesterday’s (July 8) flag wave for Donald Trump on West Chester Pike in Newtown Square, Pa. We hear the response from passing motorists was great. Photos by Jan Aruffo.
