Just You Wait Missy Stollsteimer — Delaware County D.A. Jack Stollsteimer threw another fit this time using the threat of arrest to squelch a confrontation between a citizen and a Democrat legislator.
We suspect Jack would have let it go if the legislator was a R, as he should have unless the pol was being harassed while trying to walk away.
But that is not the case here.
Activist Joe Dychala and State Sen. John Kane exchanged heated words at the Oct. 14 shredding event at Northley Middle School in Aston, Pa.
Joe was upset that Kane — the union boss Democrat who represents the 9th District in which Joe lives –wasn’t letting his staff describe how Gov. Josh Shapiro enacted his motor voter mandate.
Not just without legislative approval but the actual legal mechanism he used, which is not just a matter of curiosity but concern.
Kane didn’t like Joe’s persistence so rather than have a discussion about a legitimate concern with a constituent, he raised his voice and got in Joe’s face.
Joe says Kane was inches away.
Stollsteimer was watching. Rather than tell everyone to chill, he threatened Joe with arrest.
“Arrest me for what? The First Amendment?” Joe asked.
Apparently yes, as Stollsteimer did not backtrack.
So Joe stuck his finger in the D.A.’s face, said “Just you wait, missy”, and walked away.
Well played, Joe. Well played.
We think Jack has a new nickname.
It stems from this: https://billlawrenceonline.com/stollsteimer-woman-bullying-is-backfiring/
He really doesn’t have the temperament to be a prosecutor, much less the big boss.
Vote for Beth Stefanide this Nov. 7.
By the way, it’s not like Jack is some grouchy old guy who does a good job. He’s been a disaster since taking office. Places once considered safe are getting scary, juvenile offenders are being incarcerated where they shouldn’t, and the adult prison is almost a daily human rights violation.

Jack’s hollow threats were just that, hollow.
I subsequently confirmed with multiple LEOs, what I already knew, that the DA does NOT have arrest power, only prosecutorial power. That is why I stood my ground. When you know your rights they cannot coerce you out of them.
As such after about the third “do you want to be arrested” I decided listening to a broken record was not how I wanted to spend my day and so I left. On my own terms.
These are our communities, this is our county, our state and our nation. Always stand up for yourself and others. Bullies will always show their true selves and ultimately crumble.
Always speak Truth to power. Always.
Joe great job .
