Twitter Hypocritical H8 Site

Twitter Hypocritical H8 Site — We published a post Nov. 5 celebrating the return to the internet of free-speech defender Gab.

Twitter Hypocritical H8 Site
A post Robert Bowers made on Gab.com

Gab, a Twitter alternative, was kicked off the web by its hosting provider Joyent on Oct. 29 for having allowed Robert Bowers to post. Bowers murdered 11 persons two days before during Shabbat services at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh. He also wounded seven others, including four police officers.

Anyway outrage ensued; Gab was removed and virtue was signaled.

Which brings us to the latest regarding Twitter. Saudi prince and billionaire Alwaleed bin Talal was a major investor in Twitter. In 2015, he owned 34.9 million shares in it which put him ahead of CEO and co-founder Jack Dorsey.

Alwaleed was arrested in the Kingdom on Nov. 4, 2017 and held for three months with freedom coming as part of a financial deal with the higher ups in the Saudi family.

What was the deal? Did it involve something with Twitter? Did it involve something leading to the Oct. 2 death at the Saudi embassy in Turkey of his friend journalist Jamal Kashoggi?

Soon after Kashoggi’s brutal death it was revealed that Saudi Arabia has created a massive Twitter “troll army” to sway public opinion especially in the Mideast.

And today (Nov. 7) it was reported that journalist Turki Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Jasser was tortured to death in a Saudi jail for criticizing the ruling family via a secret Twitter account. How did the tyrants learn of the account? Via spies at Twitter’s regional headquarter in Dubai.

How many Saudi spies have infiltrated Twitter? How much do they interfere with our elections? Sounds like a dangerous H8 site to us. Perhaps Twitter should be banned from the web.

That last sentence was sarcasm but it illustrates the poison of political correctness and the hypocrisy of virtue-signaling double standards.

Val DiGiorgio Villain 2018

Val DiGiorgio Villain 2018
Val DiGiorgio villain

Val DiGiorgio Villain 2018 — How have the Pennsylvania Republicans fallen.

Lou Barletta lost his senate bid, yesterday, Nov. 6, to incumbent Bob Casey by more than 600,000 votes as of midnight and Scott Wagner was crushed by 800,000 in gubernatorial battle with Tom Wolf.

Casey and Wolf were both easily beatable.

Further, three congressional seats flipped to D including the ones representing Delaware and Chester counties.

The congressional losses can be partly blamed on a loaded redistricting order by the state Supreme Court last January giving historical Democrat voters the majority  in the Philadelphia suburban seats.

The court acquired its own Democrat majority in the 2015 election.

We are not sure yet if the GOP has lost the state House and/or Senate but in Delaware County, Sen. Tom McGarrigle appears to have lost the 26th District to Timothy P. Kearney, and Alex Charlton seems to have been unseated by Jennifer O’Mara in the 165th District, 15,577 votes to 15,414.

We can’t recall the last time a Democrat held that seat.

Who do we blame for this debacle? The leader of the Pennsylvania Republican Party is Val DiGiorgio, a partner with Philadelphia-based political fixer Stradley-Ronan, whose alums also include Pennsylvania Attorney General — and leading Democrat — Josh Shapiro, with whom Val has  beneficial dealings.

It seems Val is doing to the Pennsylvania party what he has done to the Chester County Party, that he still runs. If we were cynics we’d say it was being done on purpose.

When the Tea Party movement exploded eight years ago and previously uninvolved persons became active, DiGiorgio took steps to keep them from participating in his bailiwick .

These decent people angered by waste, corruption and unnecessary taxes were demeaned by professionals and portrayed as things they were not.

Many no longer feel inspired to politics and those that do think the GOP is as much the enemy as the equally (more so probably) corrupt Democrats.

It’s really not unreasonable to think that both parties work in unison against the average citizen.

If there are any decent leaders still left in the GOP, it is something for them to ponder.

Holiday Job Seekers Have Golden Opportunity

Holiday Job Seekers Have Golden Opportunity

By Kate Rainey

Joseph Masek, of Josephs People Central Delco (JPCD), will prove that a slowdown of companies who hire during the holidays is a myth. Job seekers could miss a golden opportunity if they wait until after the first of the year. The free workshop will be held 7-8:30 p.m., Nov. 20, in the Parish Hall of St. Laurence Church. The church is located at 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, and the entrance to Parish Hall is from the rear church driveway off of St. Laurence Road. All are welcome, regardless of religious affiliation.

Mr. Masek, who is a Job Coach and Job Developer for JEVS Human Services, will teach how to keep up with your job search, with minimal time investment, while still enjoying the holidays. He will demonstrate how job seekers can become fully prepared to capitalize on hiring for the New Year. Masek worked over 20 years at Lockheed Martin Corporation in Human Resources. He earned his M.S in Human Resources Management from Widener University.

While seeking employment during December, it is easy to slow down your search and lose momentum gained during the fall hiring season. It is often difficult to schedule interviews with your seasonal plans, and those of the hiring manager. There are often distractions and festivitiesto take part of. If you need to land employment before January, hiring does happen during this time of year. Mr. Masek will give you clues how you can find job leads where few others are looking. Having a proactive approach to securing interviews through the holidays can make a big difference.

All are welcome, without regard to religious affiliation.

JPCD is a joint program of Media Presbyterian Church and St. Laurence Church in Upper Darby that provides networking opportunities, guidance and emotional support to job seekers and career changers. For more information, send a message through the LinkedIn group Josephs People of Central Delaware County – Free Job Search Groupin the LinkedIn directory. To join, send a request and an email will be generated confirming membership. Another option is to visit www.josephspeople.org or email contactus@josephspeople.org.

Scott Wagner Open Letter

Scott Wagner Open LetterScott Wagner Open Letter — Pennsylvania Republican gubernatorial candidate Scott Wagner has sent us the below open letter. FWIW, Wagner, despite some rather unfortunate comments, would be an exponentially better governor than incumbent Democrat Tom Wolf, a calculating opportunist who in no way has concern for the interests of those who live in this state.

Dear fellow Pennsylvanian,

I know how frustrating it is to sort through the lies told by politicians and the media — especially at election time. I tried for years, until I got fed up and ran for the State Senate to finally get some answers.

To say I was sickened by what I discovered during my four years in the Senate is a gross understatement.

Too many Harrisburg politicians see taxpayers as an endless line of credit — which allows them to spend without a cap — and never have to pay it back.

They’ve forgotten that taxpayers are real people who work very hard — who have hopes, dreams and struggles.

They’ve forgotten that the more they spend, the less taxpayers have of their own hard earned dollars to spend or save.

It doesn’t have to be this way, and I’m running for Governor to prove it.

You’ve probably heard that I’m not much of a politician — that I don’t always say the right thing. That’s true, and I’m never going to be the typical politician, but I’ll always be a governor who does the right thing, because I’m not owned, and I can’t be bought.

I’m a guy who grew up on a farm. I know how to fix things, and l know how to do what it takes to get the job done when everyone else has given up and walked away.

If I am elected, I will regard my victory as proof that Pennsylvanians reject the notion that Harrisburg bureaucracy is too big and powerful to be changed or controlled.

I’ll take my election as a clear sign that the people of Pennsylvania intend to take control and pursue a much better, much more prosperous standard of living — the likes of which decades of politicians have told us isn’t possible, while they themselves have become wealthy from public service.

Prosperity is possible, and I’m running for governor to prove it.

I firmly believe I can win this election and follow through on my vision. I don’t believe the polls. Nearly 800 campaign stops and events this year alone, tell me something very different is happening in Pennsylvania. People don’t want career politicians. They want leaders with the backbone to get landmark wins for the people who deserve them.

It can be done, and I’m running for governor to prove it.

Vote tomorrow. Let’s prove them all wrong.

GAB Back Online, Free Speech Wins

GAB Back Online, Free Speech Wins — GAB has returned.

The free speech social networking alternative to Twitter was kicked off the web by hosting provider Joyent on Oct. 29 after it was revealed that Pittsburgh synagogue massacre suspect Robert Bowers was a poster on the site.

An example of Bowers’ postings is to the right.

The Oct. 27 massacre left 11 dead and seven wounded, including four police officers.

Anyway, outrage occurred and GAB got blamed for inspiring the evil.

Cynics might say it was just an attempt by Silicon Valley powerbrokers to maintain an hegemony on the flow of information and squelch a potential competitor while it was still in the cradle.  It is not as though Twitter never served as a conduit of hate, after all.

Or Facebook, for that matter.

Anyway GAB is back. It’s easy to block the H8ers –or confront them if that is your wish.

We encourage all to join it. GAB Back Online, Free Speech Wins
