Let me, as a retired journalist (from when media at least strove to be honest and fully reclusive), take that a step further: At no time in the history of the United States has the primary purveyors of censorship, half-truths and outright propaganda been the very institution, “the media,” who were long charged with being servants of the truth and non-partisan reporting and who considered that mission essential to the survival of our Constitutional Republic. We have a whole new generation of “journalists” (at least that’s what they call themselves), who have no concept of how to do other than one-sided “advocacy journalism,” which is, in fact, an oxymoron, since journalism strives NEVER TO ADVOCATE, EXCEPT PERHAPS IN COMMENTARY! If we don’t get media back under full regulation, our democracy will cease to exist!
