Brawndo Brian Williams Heralds Idiocracy With Report On Bloomberg Spending –Highly paid MSNBC news professional Brian Williams discussed Michael Bloomberg’s failed presidential bid with highly paid New York Timesnews professional Mara Gay.
“Somebody tweeted recently, that with the money he spent he could have given every American a million dollars,” Ms. Gay opined.
“I got it, let’s put it on the screen,” said Williams. “When I read it, tonight, on social media, it all became clear. Bloomberg spent $500 million on ads. The US population is 327 million — don’t tell us if you are ahead of us on the math — he could have given each American $1 million and have had lunch money left over. It’s an incredible way of putting it.”
A more incredible way of putting it is that some still trust NBC and the New York Times as sources of information.
What Bloomie spent equals about $1.53 per American. It’s about enough for a can of Brawndo for each of us. We would have been charitable and given ours to our Democrat friends who still read the New York Times or watch an NBC product. It’s what plants crave.

Bernie Beatdown Good But None Dare Call Joe A Traitor — Obama’s vice president won a yuge surprise victory in last night’s (March 3) Super Tuesday primaries and now has a solid inside track for the Democratic Party presidential nomination.
None dare call it treason, what’s the reason?
We frankly think it is a good thing America’s Democrats rejected Bernie Sanders, the senator from Vermont who doesn’t even call himself a Democrat but an “independent” which is merely cover for being a Marxist.
Early voters went strongly for Sanders while those who waited until election day went overwhelmingly for Joe Biden. We suspect that when yesterday rolled around Sanders’ comments about Castro and Cuba and percolated enough to become widespread public knowledge and that’s to what the voters reacted.
So is Sleepy Joe a good fit for the presidency?
Biden supported every trade deal over the last three decades. He voted for NAFTA as senator from Delaware, backed strangely unbalanced deals with China, and was a big defender of Obama’s Trans Pacific Partnership scheme.
At a May 1, 2019 rally in Iowa City he dismissed any notion that they were a threat.
“China is going to eat our lunch? Come on, man,” he said. “They can’t even figure out how to deal with the fact that they have this great division between the China Sea and the mountains in the . . . west. They can’t figure out how they’re going to deal with the corruption that exists within the system . . . They’re not bad folks, folks, but guess what. They’re not competition for us.”
Dang Joe, you sound like the Manchurian Candidate.

Bad Bernie Bro Example Cited By Scalise — Keith Ellison, Minnesota’s woman-beating attorney general and former deputy chair of the Democrat National Committee, took it upon himself to defend Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-Vt) supporters against accusations of thuggery with this tweet:
I have never seen @BernieSanders supporters being unusually mean or rude. Can someone send me an example of a “Bernie Bro” being bad. Also, are we holding all candidates responsible for the behavior of some of their supporters? Waiting to hear.
House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La1) replied that he could think of an example.
The ballrooms were rented, the stages festooned with red, white and blue, hundreds of supporters gathered anxiously awaiting results and hoping their candidate would take to the podium to give a victory speech.
But there were no victory speeches – or concession speeches – because there were no results. The much-touted new technology used by the Iowa Democrat Party to tabulate caucus results failed, and “inconsistencies” were found as numbers were checked against a paper trail.
So began the 2020 Presidential Election.
The chaos that engulfed the Iowa Caucus may be a preview of what Pennsylvanians can expect as most counties roll out new voting machines and a wide range of election “reforms” are implemented in a high turn-out, high-profile election year.
Kathy Boockvar is Pennsylvania’s Secretary of State. That department oversees voter registration and elections in Pennsylvania. She spoke recently to the Pennsylvania Press Club explaining the election changes approved by the General Assembly last year. During her remarks, she admitted the obvious: state and county election officials face a difficult task implementing the new rules.
All of this is made more difficult due to the fact presidential elections generate the highest voter turn-out in the four-year cycle. Rather than phase-in new procedures and new technology in an off-year election, everything will now happen at one time in a high turn-out election.
The Wolf Administration was heavy-handed in forcing most counties to replace their voting machines mandating that all systems must have a paper trail in addition to any electronic component. Donald Trump’s 2016 victory in Pennsylvania, which Democrats are convinced is illegitimate, has caused them to fixate on election security.
While we all want our elections to be secure and free of fraud, virtually every “reform” being implemented actually increases the opportunity for tampering. The handful of counties that rolled out new voting systems in last November’s elections had problems that resulted in delays, late counts, and a likely under-vote as voters walked away from polls when equipment malfunctioned.
York County was the poster child for what could – and did – go wrong. Officials there then further eroded voter confidence in the system by hiring a new elections director who has zero experience in the field. He managed to accomplish the unique feat of unifying Republicans and Democrats – who all blasted his appointment.
Setting aside the already proven problems of implementing new voting systems, process changes designed to improve voter participation open new avenues for fraud.
Among the changes is no-excuse absentee balloting. In years past a voter had to be out of town, or ill to qualify to cast an absentee ballot. Now there is “no excuse” absentee balloting which is a defacto vote by mail process. Adding administrative complexity to the process those ballots will now be accepted up until the polls close on Election Day.
County election bureaus will also have to deal with a new voter registration deadline. Previously, new voters had to register by 30 days prior to the election. That window has been shortened to 15 days prior to the election. Thus the administrative process of updating the voter rolls in time for materials to be packaged and sent to the precincts is significantly less.
Having more eligible voters actually voting is a noble goal, and the election law changes may ultimately accomplish that goal. But, every change brings with it not only administrative challenges but also vote security challenges. Doing this in a high turn-out election year is folly.
Although the genesis of these changes and the mandate for new machines came from the Left, even Left-leaning interest groups have voiced concerns over the implementation of these changes. Their concern is valid and proves fears over election chaos and fraud is not just some Right-wing conspiracy theory.
The good news is elections are implemented by 67 county election bureaus which are largely staffed by highly competent, hard-working individuals. But, they have been given a tremendously difficult task to accomplish and a set of tight deadlines in which to do so.
They will do their best, but if the Iowa Caucus was a prologue, the voters of Penn’s Woods may also face long election counts in April and November.

Pennsylvania Trump Petition Problems — Nominating petitions for the 2020 election start circulation tomorrow, Jan. 28, in Pennsylvania and we have troubling news of sloppiness concerning those for President Trump. At least one glaring typo has been found and we are hearing reports of ill-trained circulators.
What exactly is Ocean Bvld?
Typos shouldn’t keep the President off the ballot but given Pennsylvania’s partisan Supreme Court and pettily arcane ballot access laws who knows what trouble might be brewing.
Bernadette Comfort, who opposed Trump in 2016 and is an ally of never-Trumper Bob Asher, was strangely picked to run the the President’s Pennsylvania campaign.

Joining the Navy I took an oath two times in October 1990 and September 2001 to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. I still live by this oath and current representatives use the Constitution as a punchline. Waiving a little book like they actually read it. As a Veteran and like many others we take offense to this. We risked our lives in defense of it while they use it as prop. I’ve done several deployments to the Persian Gulf 91-92, 93-94 with operations in Bosnia, Somalia and Haiti in 1993-94.
I’ve seen the effects of universal healthcare with my wife’s family who still live in Portugal. It’s not the way to go here. I’ve been to many countries in Europe, Israel and the UAE. We must remain a sovereign country and secure our border.
Being a firefighter and during my enlistments we think outside the box. Make decisions that effect lives in split seconds. This is the leadership we need. Make decisions and not walk the fence or listen to big money donors.
So with everything going on in our country we need to unite. Put our petty differences aside and work for the common good. We as a nation lost our way and we need more leaders to step up, work together and find the way. We are still a Country of the People, for the People and by the People. We must be united or divided we fall as the saying goes.

Pat Poprik Incompetence In Bucks County — Bucks County Republican Party Chairwoman Pat Poprik, yesterday, Jan. 21, released the dumbest bit of politicking of 2020.
Granted its early but it sets a high bar.
Ms. Poprik and her clueless contingent declared that businessman Andrew Meehan, who is challenging incumbent Brian Fitzpatrick in Pennsylvania’s 1st Congressional District, will be excluded from candidate screening.
“They voted not to allow him to be voted on,” said Robert Ciervo.
The county GOP Executive Committee claimed Meehan did not share their values because of some alleged social media sin. They said it without the dimmest awareness that cancel culture is clearly not the value of the overwhelming majority of Republican voters even in the Philadelphia suburbs.
If what he did was so bad, why not confront him during the screening? Hmmm? Can you say fear? Expediency?
How about stupidity?
You could have safely given the incumbent the nod without dissing Meehan or his many, many supporters who Fitzpatrick will need if he should win the primary, April 28.
But you chose the halo polishing route thinking it will get you patted on the head by the people who use you and hate us.
Bucks County needs a new boss.

Update 2: A little birdie told us the vote to exclude Meehan’s screening was 49-28 which is remarkable as our birdie says unanimous votes are the norm. Further the discussion to exclude Meehan took an hour and 15 minutes which was a unnecessary waste of time. Letting Meehan speak would have taken five minutes.
